It could be if they don't throw their bikes down like they have been.
Its been a topsy turvey weekend so far and Lorenzo leaves me very puzzled, why was he in Q1 or was that just something he's taken a fancy too, so as to cause one of the lower orders not to get a chance at Q2.

Any track can be wonky the day after being rained on. Riders have enough practice time to dial in the bikes and have a much better idea how the new softs will work at this track. Don't expect to see so many crashes tomorrow.

Didn't they have the same weather last year?
Tried finding the info but can't.

Unbelievable that VR secured p3 only 3 days after deciding to have a go and see what he could do! Obviously underestimated himself and embarrassed many more able bodied riders. Wasn't sure what to expect in the race but after that nothing will surprise me.

According to some on here (including your good self) Rossi is a cadaver on an M1:rolleyes:
Oh and well done Jorge!

:fishing1:

Wow. Almost too much excitement for my old bones. I wonder if Vale is taking pain meds, and if he is, maybe he should continue. I sorta wish MV wasn't on pole, because now he could be right back leading the championship. And that would just be too confusing.

Great Rossi-legend story. And a nice clean second from Lorenzo. I hope JLo gets in front of MV at the start to make everything even more interesting, tomorrow.

EDIT:
On another note:
MM was a half second faster getting pole last year. And his all time record is a full second faster than MV's time today (different tires, of course). Dunno what this means except there may be more juice in the MM Repsol orange.

Tracks are like rivers. You can't step in the same one twice. Also... tires are different. Not to mention updated everything, on the bikes. Last year's data is only a baseline.

It's a great feat buddy. I bet about 15 riders would exchange breaking a leg to ride that factory M1, maybe they should call Carmelo to their motorhome.

KTM need to shuffle their riders effective immediately. It's one thing getting beat by the test rider at the hone circuit, but at Aragon unmasked them. As much as I like Bradley (I hope I can say this) the factory needs to Sam Lowes him. Pol too.

If you live in a glass house don't throw rocks.

Well done Mika Kallio, KTM need to sack the other 2.

Despite the rumours to the effect that Kallio will be awarded Smith's ride if he beats him, Pit Beirer has maintained that KTM will honour Bradley's two year contract. More significantly, he stressed Mika is using a brand new chassis this weekend which he has been busy developing, together with ugraded internals which neither Bradley or Pol have been given, so unlike the competition between Redding and Petrucci last year at Pramac, they are not on identical bikes. In addition to which, Kallio has chosen this circuit to wild card because as was the case at the Red Bull Ring, he has done such an extensive amount of testing the track.

Nonetheless, it is very entertaining watching him going all out to beat the factory riders. Credit to him. Finishing in the top ten in Austria was a great result - I've always liked Kallio. Saying that, I knew he was going to lob it down the road in Q2.

Regardless of that Arrab I think it's not unfair to say that until KTM get new riders their results will be held back(like tech3s) by their current riders. I said that at the start of the year and it looks like they're sadly going to prove me right.

This fog is looking firmly entrenched, could be zero warm up practice if it doesn't lift soon and worst case scenario cancelled races:eek:

Strange decision. Should have axed more warm up time and left the races full distance.

Very strange, moto 3 is the only race to lose laps 13 instead of 20, which is not 2/3 race distance, I wonder if the points will be awarded as normal?
Just a thought, will the later warm up practice be more beneficial to the moto GP riders? It will be a fair bit warmer than their usual slot.

13 covers ⅔ for 18-20 lap races. 14 covers 21-23...
