In F1 beating your team mate is absolutely everything. I know Schumi has had some 'bad luck' or whatever but the difference between them in speed, performance, consistency, points and any other measurable way is simply too much to ignore. I have no doubt Michael is still an excellent driver worthy of an F1 drive but he is no longer a title contending driver. Nico could be in the right circumstances, Lewis will be one way or another.

It's time for Schuey to hang up the helmet and enjoy all that money he made.

Wow, he clearly listens to you L8Braker

Schumacher has announced he's to retire at the end of the season!

EffWun is disgustingly political and contrived. Just look at the godforsaken mess that is the new Austin track!

The regulations have squeezed all variety from the cars, leaving generic, rev-limited V8 lumps. (Once upon a time, V8, V12, Flat 12 and even H16 engine configurations battled for supremacy.)

I can't bring myself to sympathize with or 'like' any of the drivers.

Bernie makes my skin crawl.

In other words, 'Meh...'

100%.

The real question is Bernie = Pinky????

Hong Kong Dong?

master performance by vettel.

after alonsos bitching at monza and vettels mechanical dnfs i'm happy the championship is back to zero

really happy for kamui,a bit bummed that especially hamilton was nowhere.there goes the title for sure now.

really looking forward to the last races, alonso vs vettel, the 2 very best of the after schumacher era going at it and i'm happy to see vettel emerge as the king of f1

It would be so easy for me to start pulling for Vettel once Schumacher is gone, but I just don't know yet. I like Button so I guess I'll root for him next year. It would be nice to have an American in the series but I don't see that happening anytime soon....besides if an American were in F1 he probably be in the HRT team and that would make it hard to watch.

So Kobayashi proved you can be a hero one week, a zero the next. At least Grosjean managed not to crash this race, that's some kind of record for him
<
Another great drive by Vettel I thought, he's taken the lead in the championship from Alonso with 4 races to go. It's going to be interesting I reckon.

Must confess I have been a Vettel fan since he was a Toro Rosso, he just got my attention and seems like a nice young lad. Okay he can be a little petulant at times but what F1 driver doesn't when things don't go their way? Am I happy that he is looking like heading for his third consecutive title? Very!!
<

Oh and L8Baker, there was an American in F1 at one time, Scott Speed, he drove for Toro Rosso but made no impact really which was a shame. So it could happen again, especially now they're going to be racing there again.

I like Button as well but it's Vettel for me right now. Of course I was a huge Jacques Villeneuve fan when he was racing, ahh those were the days.

Eff one has been a snooze fest for a long time but just like a moth to a flame or addict to their fix I still watch.

Always have and always will be Mclaren through and through,

Last few seasons should have been the most exciting yet with two Brits piloting my teams cars.

But nah just drifting further and further away.

Too many electronics and bollocks these days.

I mean FFS how many buttons and dials on the cockpit wheel?

It should be down to the guys skill with a throttle and a boost button/turbo, Thats it!

I might try touring cars instead, But really wish there was some karting coverage for me to watch/record or even ice bike racing, I have it on good authority that it is really exciting to watch

vettel is the man.super fast, hardly ever made a mistake in the past 2 years , clever and not a cry baby when someone runs him wide.oh and he's not trying to be the super cool next spice girl.

so all in all : vettel > alonso, button, hamilton

whats there not to like about him? the screams of joy when he wins?get real

rocket, spec ecu.

no tc or anything like that ,and it greatly improved the show.i'm quite happy with the state of f1, it hasn't been this good in the past 20 years for sure.

edit: for the record : i'm not a fan of the whole drs thing, kers as a booster and detraction from driving is more than enough.

get rid of the 1000 brake and engine settings and make them shift gears with a stick and its perfect again

I know what you are saying but the tyres are making the racing.

To quote a phrase heard too often "dropping off a cliff"

yes, but i think it was visible that the "no tc" ecu had a good effect well before we got the pirellis.

pirelli seem to do a very good job this year, last year was a bit too much, i don't like it very much when 3 pit stops are sort of mandatory, but at the moments its fine

TBH It dont matter one ioata WTF they do!

"Like a moth to the flame or addict to the fix"

As long as it's not daft o'clock!

Only GP carries that much addiction

haha true that

sundays from late november - february will be hell. too cold to ride or do anything cool, no racing on tv

ah come on , you've had enough gp action this year
<

but i feel for you, 2012 the year of abstinence. in a way at least

Sorry Bro but you can never have enough gp action!!!

Even all 18 wouldn't be enough.

As with all narcotics the more you get the more you want

Agreed it's been a poor year this year but I pledge to do much better next year.

And now I don't have a boss to tell me when I can and can't take time off.

The world is my lobster (I don't like oysters)

Apart from the McLaren bit, I couldn't agree with you more. The DRS, the whole tyre situation, it's not proper racing!! How can it be when you press a load of buttons and fly by the guy in front? Hell even I could probably do that! It's why I am giving up F1 after this year, I'm not saying I'll never watch another race but I'm not going to follow it as I have done up to now. I am sad to day that but that's how I feel.

The poison dwarf (aka Bernie) has a lot to answer for.
