Unsurprisingly IMO, 'Fred' is mentioned as the one pressuring Ferrari to file a formal protest.
<

yeah hes a good loser.

-trying to protest and change the race result because its not only for him allowed to pass other cars quite easily

- being a little whiner that at least "everybody knows who was the fastest driver, despite having not the fastest car"

and that

-"we lost to newey".

he is not a worthy world champion. he's about the worst driver for the sport that you can imagine to be surpremely talented and he is free to act out as much as he likes at ferrari.

undeserving super lucky POS, f1 title can not be decided this way and more importantly i want to see any sort of evidence that he blasted pass vergne (who in theory should let vettel pass quite easily) under yellows.

This is a piece of film on you tube supposed to show a green flag, I didn't see one to be honest, I saw a green light just after he passed, but Vergne slowed considerbly to let him by.

Can't seem to get the link to work from here

already found it,thanks

well, nothing would surprise me,would only be logical to take this step given with how much respect ferrari and eyebrows treat the sport

[sup]I though I saw a green flag on the left before the pass, but it's hard to be sure. If there wasn't one being waved then a penalty would be the only right thing to do, even though it is a shame when things get settled after the event.[/sup]

Jesus Angel, u raises my heart rate there fir a minute. So then, all settled? No ........ changed of result after the flag?

That should be it, they haven't announced it officially but those connected to the sport seem to think there's no question of an illegal move, it just seems to have been Alonso/Ferrari pushing their luck, a last desperate attempt to get their own way. If it had changed the result it would have been a crappy way to sort it out and that is a fact.

If you want to cry 'conspiracy,' ask why Vettel's collision with Senna wasn't reviewed by the stewards?

It seems pretty clear that SV was 90% responsible for the contact. Watching the race, I thought there was a good chance he'd get a drive-through.

i'm not going to say its 100% sennas fault because vettel did take a wide line and turn in on him very much but lets be realistic here:

you're in the front and are taking a corner. do you expect somebody from what, 5 places?, to ram you off?

same goes for senna : you see the cars in front all on the right and you are confident you can brake later, albeit by taking a little bit of a wider exit:

do you expect that 5 places in front of you there is a championship candidate taking a line thats unfortunately completely contrary to yours?

the answer for both is no IMO. its 2 cars in a chaotic situation gunning for the racing line. i'm not going to blame either vettel (cause that would be BS) for the collision and not senna either.(only blame would be to behave yourself in a title decider but like i said,he probably saw a gap(like sennas do all the time when they see other cars) but no car on the outside turning in on him.note how vettel is already comitted to that line and that apex even before senna actually turns the car)

if anything that was a bit ambitious by senna and a bit of a strange choice for a line by vettel, racing incident nothign more

racing incident nothign more

That line right there says it all, racing incident on a first lap, that's probably why the stewards on the day most likely looked at it and didn't take any action. No one drove in a dangerous manner, they just managed to trip over one another. Yes it was the end of Senna's race but it could easily have been the end of Vettel's championship, so what's the point of punishing anyone?

I agree that no penalty was warranted, but I thought they'd at least announce "The incident is under review."

You can bet that if the roles were reversed, they would have had a look!

They rarely announce that incidents are under review when it's on the first lap unless there is a seriously bad crash, they have said before now that they know it's a free for all and they are a lot more tolerant because you have 24 cars funneling into some tight corners. Getting them all through is more luck than judgement in a lot of cases it seems to me. Had it have happened on lap 2 or 3 they might have looked at it differently though.
