Wow, this thread is like going to school. Thanx guys.

Btw, do i smell another grid heist by Ferrari?

no no, massa is direclty behind vettel .

not that i smell an incident in the first corner coming up , but honestly i wouldn't be surprised given what they are willing to do

maldonado penalty, alonso up to 7th.

predictions:

-webber will do .... to aid his arch nemesis vettel

-50% chance of massa being involved in a "racing incident" with vettel

-one red bull will dnf with another mechanical breakdown

-if ham keeps his cool he will walk this

wishes : massas gearbox breaks and alonso runs into him.not in a dangerous bad way, just in a poetic justice way

with the cheaters out of the race a good nice race long gloves off battle between ham and vettel for the win.one last racing fix please.

schumacher to retire in style, was looking forward to a good quali after his good performance on friday.

kobayashi to impress and find a cockpit for next year

@ lyria:

i read something on a german site that kobayashi fell very much out of favor with sauber ,but they would not go into details.

do you know what exactly happened? can't be his driving and his results alone i reckon, like i said i thought he kept up with perez reasonably well more often than not, and if we rate perez as the next big thing we can't dismiss koba IMO

I don't know why he fell out with Sauber Cliche, sorry.

I don't think even Ferrari dare ask Massa to punt Vettel off this race! At least I hope not anyway. It should be a good race, all to play for and whoever gets it becomes world champion for the third time. Less than 45 minutes to go!

Oh and Caterham have signed Pic so is it Kovalainen or Petrov they're not keeping?

Williams and Force India have yet to announce their drivers yet so there's still a chance for Kamui I guess, not much of one but a chance. Can't see Williams dropping Maldonado, Senna is less secure but there's talk of Bottas taking that drive I thought. Force India might take him but I'm not sure. I think Di Resta will stay there but Hulkenberg is leaving so they have a seat potentially up for grabs.

Lap 60 of 71. How long 'till Massa and Webber get the 'Rubens Button' treatment?
<

Filipe, you chump! (Lets Alonso by for 2nd.) That was your chance to avenge years of abuse...

LOL! Not a big Alonso fan? Better hope Jenson keeps it on the track.

McLaren through n through!

Don't like Alonso or Vettel!

But would rather Vettel over Aloso!

Well done Jenson used conditions as he is so good at doing,

Could have been a 1,2 if it wern't for that penguins pink bit Hulkenberg!

Vettel did it!!! What a race. I was so pleased, after that shunt at the start he did so well to get the championship!!!

what a race. i think i've aged 10 years in the last couple of hours.

vettel, truly deserved world champion.against all odds and on his own.i wanted to say all time great in the making, but he already is that in my book.fantastic guy, awesome driver.

webber, what a whiny little ..... he is. anybody seen his choreographed aid with massa to help fernando through?

ok he then let vettel by, only to try to ram him off in the first corner afterwards. you can tell he already got another contract for next year and knows he will not get another one. i will pmsl if anybody suggests that vettel got any real help from him.webber did more for alonso
<

big shame hülkenberg messed up the first corner and took ham out, could have been one of the best performances of the year and robbed us of a potential good jenson-lewis showdown. but you can't dismiss his drive, just sadly one mistake was enough to ruin it and unfortunately it cost ham too.

but very good performance by but,ham and hulk .3 fastest men today.

what a race even if i block out that its been for the championship this race is a clear candidate for most exciting race of the last god knows how many years. i can't believe there is NOTHING to watch until feburary wsbk

honorable mention to räikkönen and schumachers last fight, reminded me of 2006.

one of the very best passes i've seen in the last couple of years, both drove like the true world champions that they are. hard but fair. beautiful to watch

goodbye michael

HOLY ....! Just got around to watching the finale. After lap 1 I was ready to break my screen. Then Perez out, this .... almost got unwatchable, as I couldn't take the suspense of possibly the VR of F1 (without the "likability" and talent) getting a gift title. Vettel was amazing to stay on the track a few times but thank God brought it home for a title. Not that I like him that much, but I hate Alanso that much.

Jesus, that was a good season except for Perez coming unglued the last third of the year. I hope he gets his head on straight and sacs up for next year. Oh, and I still think that Frenchy ... Grossean should be taken out the back and ..... slapped a few.

It was a hell of a race, when Vettel got shunted and was steering backwards as the rest of the grid come at him, I was shocked and feared it was all over for him. He did a hell of a good job to bring that damaged car home the way he did and to win. Shame his radio wasn't working so we could hear his reaction, in 2010 it was so sweet.

With races like that it's hard not to enjoy it, but sadly they're the exception rather than the rule lately which is why I am pretty much done with it. I'm not giving up on it completely but I am not watching all the races anymore. It's motogp for me instead!

Apparently it might not be all over yet!! Seems Ferrari think Vettel passed Vergne under waved yellows, which we all know you're not allowed to do! If they appeal and that appeal is upheld Vettel will get a 20 second penalty, thus dropping him to 8th and making Alonso champion.

However, all appeals have to be lodged before 30th November, (tomorrow) so we'll soon know the decision either way. If that happens and they're right handing Alonso the title it will be a sick way of winning it won't it?
