haha @ alonsos twitter pic. what an ......

funny how ferrari try to impose team order before the actual race.

i can't get my head around people saying alonso is still the best driver after 2007,singapore etc.

don't try to compare this with schumacher, alonso is one of a kind when it comes to this.

this comes from a ex-alonso fan so don't give me .... about being a fanboy.

i thoroughly hope he never wins another wdc , just doesn't deserve it. ferrari quali weakness or not.

Jumks don't worry about Perez,

He will show hie true talent next year when he has a proper car under him.

I for one am looking forward to seeing how he makes the McLaren dance next season.

He should be up there from the word go!
<

Shame on Curve n CaliKid though, so close n not hooking up!

Shouldn't be allowed!!!

You may be right, you might not. Have you noticed how Perez's form has taken a dive since McLaren announced him? It'slike he turned into a different driver overnight. I hope he pulls himself together and gets on with driving like he was earlier in the season, right now he's sure as hell not.

Heard the latest rumours? Ferrari might change Massa's gearbox to move Alonso onto the clean side of the track, if they do that Red Bull might just do the same thing with Webber to make sure Alonso goes back onto the dirty side. They reckon that could make a lot of difference at the start. Ferrari will do anything to give their boy a chance, seems Red Bull will too
<

Alonso is a hell of a driver still, can't stand him myself after Singapore-gate but he's still not a driver you can dismiss, not a chance.

Should be a good race, I HATE that I can't watch it live though
<
Stupid BBC.

i was alluding to the gearbox change with the team orders
<

red bull would only be right to play the same game, but i hope though they don't. i've always liked red bull because they let their drivers race it out.would be a bit disappointed if they let ferrari force them to stoop to their level.

about perez: quality driver, i don't know if its just me but i always thought kobayashi was a very very good driver. hope he gets a shot at a good car sometime in the future.i think both koba and especially perez made the sauber look a bit better than it actually is

i don't dismiss alonso, i'm just very convinced that he is not better than vettel ,maybe as good but thats at already at the very peak of his career where as i see vettel getting better and better.

who i think can be just as good,if not better, than vettel is hamilton but he needs to get his .... together.with alonso on the other hand i think its not just the red bull that has the ferrari covered , but vettel who got alonso covered.look at the attempted mind games for "proof"

this year could easily have been his(again) , he certainly had the car and the team and for sure the raw speed and race craft. just screwed up too much.

edit : check pm box

Dude i could not do .... on my phone anywhere NEAR that track.. The whole ....... time was phone tag.

I was on bike he was on foot and both of us were there last minute and broke as ....

I sold my race day ticket for $300 so id have gas to get home. I think Alen had to sell tail for a taxi ride to airport

don't tell me you missed the actual race?

.....

was a very good one, nice battle between vettel and hamilton.great start by alonso keeps his title hopes alive.

its supposed to rain at brazil on sunday, should be interesting...with the bumpy circuit in brazil you would have to keep ferrari in mind, this championship is definately not over. especially not on a track where i think alonso can win on his own anyways and a dnf (either mechanical with the alternator or because of an accident in a chaos race) is not too unlikely.

What a shame you missed the race after all that
<
Still at least you can say you've been there and done that

Great start by Alonso indeed, but only once his team had helped that along by cheating and giving Massa a penalty like that. See that's what really makes me angry about F1, that kind of cheating and so on. So it all goes down to Brazil, I reckon so long as they have no car issues/crashes it's Vettel's title again. Alonso is only going to win if Vettel fails now in some way I think.

At least I get this race live!!

make no mistake, its entirely possible that the red bull breaks down on vettel again and alonso finishes on the podium at a wet interlagos.

this championship is wide open with a chaos finale looming for next sunday

Oh you're right, I know you are. It should be a hell of a final race and Brazil is a good track, usually shows us a good race especially when wet. Of course if the Ferrari doesn't qualify well and it hasn't most of the season, Alonso might get punted off at the start like he has done before this season, especially if he's near Grosjean
<
then it doesn't matter what happens to Vettel.

Although I understand the point you are trying to make, it is important to point out that Ferarri didn't cheat in any sense of the word. What they did was totally 100% legal.

yes and i like to compliment domenicali for at least being honest about it.

still not exactly classy but at least honest

It might be technically within the rules but it's hardly the sporting thing to do is it? Red Bull could have pulled that move too on Webber, but they chose not to.

Fanboy rationalization at work.

well its not rationalization, it is legal to do so. damn shame for massa (always liked him) and a dirty thing to do to mess with how many other riders starting position (and i really hope this can be prevented in the future) but you can't punish someone for doing something legal.

you can dislike them however, which is my preferred option
<

massa for the win at interlagos. He need that win to prove that deserve to be the 2nd driver at ferrari and for his moral (i think i wrote the right word
<
).

And for his fans also.

I want fight between vettel or alonso for points not for positions (at that race)

Maybe 1-2 for ferrari and vettel (or red bulls ) back to 5-6 or 6-7 places. But that is a crazy scenario for F1 and its fans.

I am not fan either vettel either alonso but i want fights at f1 (for positions and for points )

go beeraikonen gooooooo
<

I don't think it's even dirty or unsporting. Team orders are allowed, when they were legalised (the only sensible thing to do) F1 made it clear that a team was allowed to negatively effect the performance of one driver for the benefit of the other/the team as a unit. This is exactly what we have seen, it is no worse than any other manifestation of team orders.

you could argue that it is because other drivers had to be moved to the dirty side of the grid and red bull had to be alert to eventually pull the same with webber to put alonso on the dirty side again.

i'm no fan of team orders in any case, but this is way worse than even spielberg/indianapolis 2002 IMO because it affects way more people than just the #2 brazilian

Good discussion. Wish i had time to learn enuf of this sport to comment properly. I have no idea regarding the parity, is it more like Wsbk or GP? At beginning of season it had several diff winners, but since then its been basically same on podium.

Tom is right regarding the breaking of seal being "legal", but it gave Alanso an advantage he didnt earn, to me it doesnt seem in the spirit of racing.

I've been watching because i've become interested in Perez. I agree he looked to be a very good driver up until they announced his signing. I hope the pressure hasnt got to him.

Congrats to Hamilton. Great last laps charge. I like the hoisting of the Union Jack considering we dont have any American drivers. I just didnt like seeing a Spanish one on the podium. Haha, yeah, dont like Alanso too much, he strikes me as an arrogant dude.

Curve, WTF man. I heard from CK everything was crazy expensive and not the same friendly crowd like GP. But selling ur race day ticket? Hahaha. Jesus man. Anyway, i hope u scouted out the best vantage points for MotoGP.
