Assen TT - Rnd 8 2015 - SPOILERS

I got a PM from Heisman over two weeks ago that Rossi would win Assen.

Looks like Lorenzo and Marquez swapped bikes.

How can Melandri be 4 seconds off the pace? Were the World Superbikes this off on the GP?

.

Well almost. I intended that Assen is a Rossi track since he's historically has done well there.

Where I disagree with you is I don't believe it's Rossi's championship to lose. Out of the remaining tracks, Rossi has done well at,

  1. Assen
  2. Brno
  3. Misano
  4. Philip Island (since Stoner is not around)
  5. Sepang

The others, I consider his bogey tracks.

  1. Sachsenring - Pedrosa's Paradise
  2. Indy
  3. Silverstone - Jorge seems to perform well at this track
  4. Aragon - I believe Jorge has always finished better than Rossi here
  5. Motegi - Thi sone is a toss up
  6. Valencia - he's lost a championship here and I don't think he'll want the championship to go down at this circuit.

Dude, I wish I knew how to post .... like that. Thanks man.

Can you see if you can post Marc's almost torpedo of Redding in practice today?

Sure thing!

Note that even the dudes calling the official MotoGP feed are using the word, 'desperate' to describe His Holiness.

I get the impression Marc Mayhem is just practicing for the race, where he'll uncork the real Reverse Piledriver on anyone who gets in his way.

Makes me wish they still had a tyre war. Who remembers the final winter season test showdown at Jerez each Feb where the fastest guy won a BMW?

God that was awesome.

The glory days 22. How could I forget about this obscure rider that took home the BMW. Some of you may remember him. He used to win things until he started beating 9 times. That didnt fit the "50 Shades of Grazianos ......." narrative. Even after beating the jerry curled by blow and maintaining parity on equal machinery, he was punished for his lack of Clown skills while 9 crimes was rewarded with Carmilly Wonkas golden ticket and Nicky got Carmilly Vanilleez ..............
I have to give Rossi some credit though.....Until reading Heismans take on Rossis long term influence over manufacturers development, I was led to believe that Honda engineers ...... up this year. I had no idea Rossis feedback ten plus years ago was just a plot to confuse HRC engineers. The .... bikes we see hayden and marquez riding today can only be attributed to Mr Money shot. Diabolical.

Hahaha, yeah I know. Apart from the qualifying tire and extra liters of fuel, the top 4 have been the top 4 machines just about...well always.

Where is JohnnyKnockdown when you need him? Here is a prediction: the top 4 will be some combination of factory Honda/Yamaha or Yamaha/Honda.

JKD.....that blob of gray matter is probabaly floating face down somewhere

Fantastic! The forum has missed your technical expertise. Bravo.

I have a question for Kropo (or anyone else for that matter) what happened to the point tally system for dangerous riding? I recall they were issued when riders took unnecessary risks to themselves and others during 'practice'. (Because, as the insane justification went, these risks were acceptable during a race condition).

I've really begun to appreciate the agility and finesse Marc employs on the circuit. We're going to be in for a real treat tomorrow.
Marquez Race Strategy:

Take a real good look at Lorenzo's rear wheel sensors. Check

Deploy phase 2 of 'Pedrobot Rear Sensor Disruption' tactic (which was unsuccessful at Catalunya, but will be pursued with savant compulsivness). Soon to be Check

Please, like Marc would ever knowingly try to knock someone's rear wheel sensor out. Why, that would be completely unsporting, and unfitting of a double world champion to resort to such ill-advised tactics.

We need Knockdown about as much as we need the plague. He's only funny to drunks and small children. Or small drunken children.

Wouldn't be a big shock if he did. Rossi's won at Assen more than any of of the current crop of riders and and Assen is pretty much a bogey track for Lorenzo. MM - despite changing to the old chassis - looks like a crash waiting to happen. Did you see the look on the guys in his garage when he almost rear-ended the Suzuki in qualifying?:p
