I am going to support Ooost on that statement.

The series os good and we are lucky to have it. Other countries have national series that are not as recognized as ours or whatever or maybe they don't even hgave national series.

The jist of it is that the series has become very predictable. The manufacturers are not on the same page and the organizers of the events and rulemakers are a bit outdated.

The series is good and has its flaws just like anything else, its just that it seems that nothing is being done to correct the flaws.

Gotta love the world supers, right? Look at how much of an advantaged Corser has on the sorted CoronaSuzuki, or how Bayliss kicks ... on the underpowered Xerox duc

Actually alot of other countries do have a national series and alot of people consider BSB to be a good domestic league. But America has a history of producing great riders that move over to motogp.

It`s wierd, the numbers say BSB is more popular, but on an international scale AMA seems more popular.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Ooost @ Sep 8 2006, 08:46 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>I love the riders in our series but the teams aren't on the same page. Hence, Ducati is pulling out. Suzuki are dialed in, AmHonda still haven't gotten their CBR1kRR sorted, Kawasaki are still working on the ZX10R and Yamaha will start from scratch with the R1 next season. It's a bummer when Spies and Mat are five seconds in front of the rest and a guy like Aaron Yates regularly beats talented riders such as Duhamel, Zemke, Hayden, Hodgson and Bostrom because of his bike. Just a frustrating deal.
so true!

Just an update:

Tommy Hayden has signed for Yoshimura Suzuki, replacing Aaron Yates and rumors suggest that Jamie Hacking is very close to, if he hasn't done so already, singing for Kawasaki. It's reported that his defection from Yamaha is an effect of Yamaha not having the materials to run three Superbikes in 2007 and already have contracts with DiSalvo and Eric Bostrom to ride in the premier class.

Man Neil rode his heart out today. I'm really going to miss those beautiful red bikes; the sound, the looks, the prestige, everything.

I felt bad for Barnes too. He was nearly crying in the post-race interview.
How has he kept a job if he has had such trouble performing? Does his experience make him a good test rider/mentor for younger riders?

It made me feel good to watch Josh Hayes' post-race interview; he was nearly crying as well, although from the opposite side of the emotional spectrum.

Yeah Tommy Hayden will really ride for Suzuki.

Mat Mladin won the Mid-Ohio Superbike race, an exciting finish to a dramatic weekend at the circuit as Ben Spies clinched the AMA Superbike championship. Mladin finished ahead of Aaron Yates (Suzuki) and Neil Hodgson (Ducati) to take the last win of 2006.

Aaron Yates led both ends of a red-flagged race but Mladin, Hodgson, and Honda's Miguel Duhamel all led the race at different points. Mat took his 51st win and his eighth of the year, pulling away from Yates in the final laps.

Yates finished on the podium for the fourth race in a row. He's leaving Yoshimura Suzuki after this race, but he has momentum going into 2007.

The Parts Unlimited Ducatis finished their last race third and fourth. Hodgson challenged hard, leading in the second leg on lap 15. Bostrom jumped up to third on the re-start and held fourth to the flag.

Jason Pridmore finished his last AMA Superbike race in fifth place, a solid result for the Jordan Suzuki racer.

Spies was seventh and became AMA Superbike champion at 22 years old. Spies celebrated with big burnout and took the title over Mladin 649 points to 641.

Duhamel pitted in both ends of the race, each time with work going on at the rear of his Honda CRR1000RR.

Kawasaki's Roger Hayden won the Mid-Ohio Supersport race, topping Michael Barnes and Geoff May of the M4 EMGO Suzuki team.

Hayden led the first lap, but Barnes (who last won a Supersport race at Daytona in 1989) made his way into the lead. Barnes ran strong, but Hayden resumed the point on lap eight after a turn one pass. He managed to extend it out to nearly 3 seconds at the flag.

It was Hayden's first Supersport win since Barber.

Just so everyone is aware, Yamaha have officially unveiled their 2007 lineup which features Eric Bostrom and Jason DiSalvo in Superbike and newly signed Ben Bostrom to run Superstock and possibly Supersport or Formula Xtreme.

bens havin to take a step back to try & start moving foward again.

Is there anything official with Hacking and Kawasaki yet? Anyone, Anyone, Bueller? Anybody think Hacking will be able to defend his superstock title? I feel he'll be able to defend his supersport title 'cause Tommy proved that the Kawis are proven supersport machines.
