Damn. I have not seen such an ass backwards opinion since bird bird and the Rossi cult were here. I have seen zero evidence that he is anything but a level headed wise beyond his years kid. Please enlighten us, show us the interviews that we aren't seeing. Because you opinion is nothing but senseless hater s-h-i-t.
Well, you'll have to take my word for it but in Spanish media he portrays a very cocky image that has been rubbing many people in the wrong way, kinda like Lorenzo in his early MotoGP years but without the success to back it up. Besides that last "Marquez who?" joke he did on TV a month ago, there have been also some declarations made in the last year that show the kid is not exactly keen about respecting Marc, being pretty much firm in Rossi's camp.

The guy is talented but I don't like his persona from what I've seen and heard. I'm sure he tones it down when conducting himself in English.

Fair enough. I like him and his attitude. He comes off to have a British sense of humor which I could see rubbing some the wrong way. Which honestly makes me like him more. JLo on the other hand, his attitude came through in all languages.

He does go to the ranch but as I have said before, he is one PR away from never getting another invite.

You mean Maximo Quiles? I have no idea tbh. I don't usually pay much attention to riders until they get to Moto2.
I watch redbull rookies. Best racing on two wheels. If not for the show they did following the riders I would have a clue what a piece of s-h-i-t him and his father are. Arrogant self-entitled doesn't even begin to describe them. At the end of the year they invite all the riders in to an interview to tell them if they will or will not be invited back to rookies cup the next season. When they interviewed him he was like, why wouldn't I be invited back next season? The promoters were taking back by his attitude. They were blown away by his attitude. He never listens, he never learns. He is a total ........ Born racers. You should watch it. It was excellent.

Is there a new season of Born Racers?

Pedro was 16 when he started being called the next Marquez. At that age it's almost impossible to not let it get to your head.

What's the deal with Quiles? I follow these guys from Moto3 onwards. Don't have a clue what happened in the Rookies Cup or Junior GP.

As a side note, I was surprised to see MM getting out of the driver's seat of a freaking mundane (Toyota ?) SUV, when getting to the track at Thailand (MotoGP site clip). Seems like a really down-to-earth guy. He could be driving a much more expensive rental car. Can't imagine big ego champions like Verstappen or Hamilton doing that. Ha ha.

EDIT: And is MM really making less than Pecco, like it was reported? I doubt it, but guess we'll never know. Although after all his wins, it should be higher regardless. Plus of course all of his sponsorship deals, which I'm sure are substantially higher than Pecco.

Pecco is the weakest two-time champion in MotoGP history. He will have to prove himself this season.
He was fully empowered by riding the best bike on the grid, and not by technical ability. Sure, he's a good guy, a good rider. But he's not an extraordinary talent.

He had the peace of mind of working with the support of Valentino Rossi at his base, and of being born in the same country as Ducati. He didn't demonstrate anything that would make him a Factory rider. Not even victories in satellite teams (like Enea had before being hired, for example).

And his track record in titles is poor, considering that he had BY FAR the best bike with opponents with inferior equipment:

2021 - Lost to Quartararo (2 rounds to go) with a Yamaha already sinking and Ducati having been the best bike on the grid for years.
2022 - Beat Quartararo in the last stage. With an even bigger equipment gap than last year.
2023 - Beat Martin in the last round. Having been a factory rider for 3 years versus a satellite team (which we know is slightly inferior).
2024 - Another battle in the last round against a satellite team, this time he lost. Martin showing a much more iconic and aggressive riding style.

Again: Pecco is a good rider. But not an extra class.
In the current season, I would put him behind MM, Acosta, Fabio and Martin. These, with equal equipment conditions, would easily beat the Italian.
