I haven't read recent posts due to spoilers so forgive me it it's been addressed but what's the drama between Pedrosa and Lorenzo the MotoGP commentators keep referring to? I thought I heard Lorenzo picked "Daniel" to do really well this weekend.

They are doing some sort of celebrity boxing match for charity, IIRC.

Okay, it makes sense now. I did hear Matt Birt say something about a boxing match but I thought he was speaking euphemistically. I thought they had some beef going on. I'll put my money on Pedrosa. Lorenzo has gotten a bit chubby. 😆

I think that's actually the topic of the "drama". Supposedly, Pedrosa said Lorenzo is fat or something along those lines. That's celebrity pre-fight hype for you

During his fastest lap attempt, he lost a lot of time in the final sector. If he made a mistake, that would explain his optimism.

Bagnaia also lost time in the final sector, and Acosta was balked by Bezzechi, I think. It will probably be a 3-4 way battle in the sprint and GP.

I unfortunately couldn't see any of the FP sessions today, but I heard heading into the final sector he was up 3/10ths on Pecco's time?

I'm surprised by that because I feel like I could recall him really blazing through there on the Honda back in the day.

The sprint is going to be cracking. Acosta should be up there easily then if he got balked by ..... Bezzechi. I can't see him being a factor tomorrow, but we'll see I guess.

I believe that Pecco crossed the line after the split time was record so he was actually up 3/10ths on Mavs time not Prosecco's

I'd really hate to have to explain to Tardozzi and Gigi why you have a rocketship that you can barely ride any faster than last year's bike.

even worse imagine Morbidelis convos.

Oof madone, they don't even talk to him anymore. I actually have to remind myself he's still on the grid riding a current spec Ducati because I keep forgetting he still exists as a rider.

MM had multiple fastst laps approaching the final corner. They all ended up slower. Losing almost half a second there it seemed to me.
Dont know that it is just the final corner, it is from the last intralap timing point until the finish line anyway.

Just one KTM goes straight into Q2. Brad was looking good....until he wasn't. From the looks of it, I expect he'll get into Q2. Frankie may make it as well. I'm hoping he does. 7 Ducs straight to Q2.
Is Marini even in Spain?

Yes, while MM also broke the old lap record on what is reputed to be an unimproved start of last season GP 23.

Noticed that as well. You never know with MM, he might have that section nailed and ihave deliberately tanked it for tactical or strategic advantage, or I can hope so anyway. It certainly wasn’t a one lap error, it was on multiple laps.
