And how Pedro goes. Lorenzò rates him for the win and he knows a shed load more than I

25 riders on the grid as Bradl and Savadori will also be running wildcard entries .

In past seasons we used to think of this as a "Yamaha track" because it favored the smooth corner entry attack that the Lorenzo era Yamahas were so good at. I wouldnt be surprised to see the Yamahas have their best result so far this season. That said I think the Aprilia and Maverick have looked very vintage Yamaha in some corners this season, so I think he has to be the favorite. The Ducatis seemed to have this track dialed last year, and if the GP24 is as much improved as they say, I think you could see more then one on the podium.

I think Brad had his day in the sun.
That might actually be true, even though I must admit that I hadn't thought of it until just now. Especially now that Acosta has arrived, you might be just right.

I am most interested in how Vinales will do this coming weekend, is he for real this year or not ?
The last time Vinales won two races in a row was at the very beginning of the 2017 season. His two first races on the Yamaha, when he came from Suzuki. So probability says he will be mediocre again.

It's not a knock on Brad as I think he's one of the faster riders out there. And let's be real, to win at this level or even be competitive, you've got to be one of the fastest riders on the planet which is insane to really think about.

But, unfortunately for him I think his factory KTM seat depends entirely on what Marc does. Jack Miller is history on the factory seat anyway.

I don’t think so, although I don’t think he is as good as Acosta, or Marquez even at his ( now old for a GP bike rider) current age. He at least has a Gasgas ride on a full factory KTM, and while I am not greatly impressed with Poncharal’s team management capabilities KTM give every appearance of having provided Acosta sufficient support. I could see Acosta staying at Gasgas if he is comfortable there, it could be like Rossi’s Nastro Azzurro situation as I have posted previously, which Rossi is on the record as saying was his preferred set-up.

One thing I wouldn’t do is have MM and Acosta on the same team.

I can’t see Brad winning. a title on a KTM now though without misfortune befalling Acosta, whom he would need to beat riding the same bike.

Except Binber has a contract
Exactly. He will be at least one of 4 KTM riders next year, and maybe 6 if KTM get what they want.

At the moment going by Acosta's performance a Gasgas ride can be a competitive ride, and such a ride is BB's worst scenario. If I was to prognosticate the factory factory KTM team next year will be either BB/Acosta or BB/Marc Marquez if Acosta is happy at Gasgas.

Given a choice come contract time, I can’t see MM going to KTM of his own volition, after spending a year perfecting his Ducati-riding skills, especially if he’s offered at 2025 bike.

So did Pol Espargaro... :p

I can see sense in the move from a Red Bull/commercial perspective. However, I agree that it makes more sense for him to stay at Ducati for the time being.

Again, it's Crash. So make of it what you will but apparently Pramac are trying to court Marquez

First whispers in Italy that Pramac are “trying again” to sign Marc Marquez

Well, now i'm intrigued:

Pedrosa says 'unexpected' MotoGP return pushed by "interesting" testing data

"I didn't expect, honestly, to do this one again after last year. But things got a little bit interesting in the testing, so that's why we chose to do it once more."
Asked if the "interesting" element was his speed, Pedrosa replied: "Well, the speed is hard to judge when you race alone in testing.

"But we have some items to try, and they are items that are important to try in a more, let's say, stressful way in order to see what can come out and if we can deal OK with it, because normally in the tests you have all day long to set up things and to modify the bike.

At the moment going by Acosta’s performance, the rider can still be the deciding factor in the aero-ride height era.

<adjusts full protective gear> Binder was never going to win a championship on a KTM............................or any other bike for that matter. No, I'm not a hater.
Neither am I and he’s a nice guy, a team player. One thing you can say about Brad: nice elegant sliding.

If there was an entire season of wet races he might.

My point was that KTM aren’t going to ditch him, I see him on the factory KTM next year regardless, just not as the number 1 rider.
