Not a boring race. Now waiting to hear from all the ......s who said Marquez is done. For an “old” geezer on the ‘23 bike, said to be inferior to the “22 bike, not bad. Predictably, Vinales - nowhere. Love seeing how happy Marquez is, and the insane reaction from his fans. Totally deserves it. I don’t think we’ll ever see that for Bagnaia. What happened to Acosta? Re” Martin crash . . . All I can say is, bring back the Bridgestones. Did your see Gigi shaking Marquez’ hand? He looked over the moon. He knows and honors great talent.

I am no Pecco fan but he cut back both times when passed. Fastest lap of the race on the second last lap.
Still Marquez did his fastest on the last lap on an older machine.
Marquez will know Pecco has the better machine.

The first cut back was ........ though.

Good race, it was a bit boring in the early stages and when Martín fell I thought the race was done, but Marc added the show the race needed. I won't blame Pecco for the clash, as Marc himself knows that's how racing is. The championship tightens up, and like they always say, the season starts in Jerez.

I thought Acosta made a commendable race after falling so low in the order during the first lap.

It was borderline. They just showed the replay and Marc was definitely wide but came back in as Pecco tried to stuff it back through. Glad they didn't crash again.
They know where they stand with each other.

Might as well build a wall between 2nd and 3rd in parc ferma. Pecco and Marc talk. Beztch and pecco talk the teams congratulate each other. But zero communication between Marc and Biztch and Gresini and Vr46. Vale still doing his best to make motogp a toxic place.

Bezzechi was too busy talking about how he touched a wet spot and blew his load early when he passed Marc.

Probably the highlight of his season for the number of laps it lasted till it became obvious MM was ....... with him.

A/sa y x
Took three times this year for it to actually work.
He may have a problem with reciprocal favours from MM, particularly if he is in contention and as I expect MM isn’t, this season at least, later in the season.

Where is Dogfight ?. MM doesn’t look to have lost all that much particularly given he was riding a GP23.

Yeah looking at that Rossi in the paddock doesn't get any easier.
Was hoping for a Marc win for that reason as well.

I never, ever thought one day, in a clash between Marquez and a Ducati number 1 rider, I would root for Marc Marquez. I caught myself hoping he would do that last lap and win the race. I'm sorry reds.

No mention post race from Nick Harris that MM was on a GP23.

Not even surprised. I think the only ones who are really taking any of this into account are Ducati.

MM kept up with a GP24 with all updates that had the wheels ridden off it, while being on a Qatar 2023 spec bike.

I don't know, if I were Pecco I'd be sort of embarrassed that I had to nearly crash multiple times just to stay in front.

This is a bit of non-sense. Things don't work this way. It's not that a year old bike is crap and the new one is far superior. Sometimes it's just the opposite. In some places, some tracks, some sectors, it could be that even the GP22 would be faster than both the new bikes. Also, don't forget the GP23 is well developed and has lots of setup data for Jerez, whereas this track is totally new for the GP24. The 24 bike may suit some riders, others not, as well as the 23. The difference between both is pretty small.

What I'm realizing is that Marc lovers are just jumping on this subject to confort themselves.
