Lorenzo streaked away from Dovi in the end though, Dovi didn't look to have more pace than him at any point.

And then crashed his brains out.

Dovi had more pace than him for almost the whole race. Why invent things? He was standing the bike up mid corner at various points. Have you ever raced a bike?

Feel for Dovi too but that 2 laps shows the difference. Yet another unsaveable save from Marquez.
And yeah George is probably going to get deserved .... but it wouldn't have made a difference as Dovi wasn't catching the front 2. Dovi was pushing as hard as he could behind him.

Had WhoreHe moved when he should have Dovi might have had the pace....but since he ignored all orders for some 10+ laps he killed Dovi''s chance at getting to the top 2....

Favour repaid I think....

Dovi had way more pace early. Whether or not JLo had pace late is meaningless. I have no idea why he wouldn't give Dovi a chance to tow them toward the front.

He did it for MM, he didnt want Dovi to win the title and truly take the number 1 spot at Ducati in 2018, he can't read, or he is a cock....pick one....

You have to think JLos 2018 chances just went as well, and the other teams and factories will remember this sort of behavior when it comes to him wanting a new ride in 2019....

Was thinking the same thing. Someone will always be willing to sign him, but I wonder if all those years of no team orders at Yamaha was inevitably going to work against Ducati in this situation. I'm admittedly no fan of team orders, but your boss telling you to do something no matter how unlikable it is, has to be done. All he needed to do was roll off the throttle on the main straight and it would have been over and done with. Look ahead to 2018, he would have won more plaudits from everyone for doing that even though yes I know it kills him to do any such thing. Instead he just rewrote his own future in a bad way for no good reason.

Marquez style to the end! The heart attack kid does it again. Congrats to Dovi, JLo and Ducati for one hell of a run. Congrats to Zarco for humiliating Factory Yamaha. Bring on 2018 and MotoGP championship #5.

Had WhoreHe moved when he should have Dovi ...

wouldn't have won the race so the point is moot.

Is there any possibility that a discussion between Dovi and Lorenzo took place where Dovi said unless it's for the win he doesn't want or expect Lorenzo to give him the place.

He was told to move over by the team. Besides that its not unheard of to give up a position when a rider is up your ass follow learn where they are faster or just to possibly get a tow to the front. Last race of the year absolutely nothing on the line for JLo. There is no excuse at all.

Lorenzo did the right thing.

Yamaha need to get rid of rossi .... entirely.
.... and hire Zarco and Lorenzo back .... or Stoner

Only Stoner could rapidly undo the .... that rossi has made of Yamaha.

I just read Dovi has said that he was happy to follow Lorenzo because he was giving him a great reference point. Dovi is classy as .... and won't say anything against Lorenzo either way but what he said is possibly true. Dovi is unbelievable on the brakes, it's hard to believe that if he indeed had more pace than Lorenzo he couldn't have gotten past him.

MM saving a bin job on his knee. Visiting the gravel. Faark.
Factory Yams...

Congrats to Dani for taking advantage of situation and winning the race, well deserved. Zarco hopefully will get that first win in 2018.

Overall great season, kudos to Dovi and Ducati for making it such a compelling season. Great work they put in. We got a hell of a year overall with so many nail-biting races. Perfect reason for why we watch this stuff every race weekend. I feel justified for all those late night races. Another season in the books. Been a blast as always fellas, hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did.

Yes - with all the current attention on the outcome of this last race, it's easy to lose site of just how remarkable this season has been.

Forum-wise, things seem to be looking up. If peeps can avoid feeding clueless trolls, they may wither away and piss off. If Rossi were to retire, it could really be great around here.

I'm not sure what Jorge had to win from defending a 4th place finish. Super stupid for him, regardless of what you think of team orders, why risk ....... with the team spirit when you don't have a chance to get the win? I wonder how the mood will be in Ducati the next year regarding Jorge.

Marquez, what to say, an utter phenomenom. Makes a miraculous save and still have enough luck to land a 6 in that dice

Zarco should be piloting the factory Yamaha. Rossi with his worst season in years, Mav has no answers for the bike.

Dovi should be proud for his effort. I'm not sure he will be there the next year.

Really curious about KTM going to the next season. Great performance in their first year in MGP
