It's racing. MM almost crashed, JL crashed, Zarco could torpedo Zarco. It's by its own nature unpredictable. If Dovi were closer to the front because of JL not getting in his way for the whole race, maybe he'd be there in the fight?

Lorenzo streaked away from Dovi in the end though, Dovi didn't look to have more pace than him at any point.

Feel for Dovi too but that 2 laps shows the difference. Yet another unsaveable save from Marquez.
And yeah George is probably going to get deserved .... but it wouldn't have made a difference as Dovi wasn't catching the front 2. Dovi was pushing as hard as he could behind him.

I don't know what to say about Lorenzo, never saw such a brazen display of ignoring a direct order. I was saying to a friend last night you never know what can happen, and MM nearly losing it in turn 1 is exactly why you let Dovi through because he could have put the pressure on and who knows how the race unfolds in that situation if he gets through. It can't have been about a win because he had no chance of winning that race at all. The fallout is probably going to be bad from this.

Congrats to Dani for taking advantage of situation and winning the race, well deserved. Zarco hopefully will get that first win in 2018.
Overall great season, kudos to Dovi and Ducati for making it such a compelling season. Great work they put in. We got a hell of a year overall with so many nail-biting races. Perfect reason for why we watch this stuff every race weekend. I feel justified for all those late night races. Another season in the books. Been a blast as always fellas, hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did.

Then he crashed so he may have been overriding the bike. Hard to say whether he would have gotten there or not though.

Dovi had way more pace early. Whether or not JLo had pace late is meaningless. I have no idea why he wouldn't give Dovi a chance to tow them toward the front.

You have to think JLos 2018 chances just went as well, and the other teams and factories will remember this sort of behavior when it comes to him wanting a new ride in 2019....
