'BigAl' what is this CARSHER GRAVEL ........ with stoner??? the guy is a racer and as mick doohan said and I quote him...’id rather have a fast racer that crashes then a slow racer that doesn’t’ well (LETS NOT FLAME THIS POST ANYMORE ) but I can mention one guy on a particular bike that is going around in 2011 that is the latter of what doohan said …stoner is the SICK RACER of motogp and hes always been like that with stoner its all or nothing and that is the aussie spirit! you guys just dont know and will never know that we are all about is....‘all or nothing’ so please don’t go on with this ........ that hes a crasher hes a racer and a very good racer at that!!!!

fully agree with you, gardner was a ‘RACER’ even though he didn’t have the V4 that spencer did but he persisted and won at the end…that is our spirit…no excuses no blaming this or that…we have courage and DETERMINATION to be the best in whatever sport we compete in!! and that is what stoner is all about …you guys just don’t get it with stoner because motogp and as he said the 80’s era is in his blood and its in my blood..ive been watching and following the 500’s and motogp since 1973 abd that was when barry sheen( god rest his soul) knew everything and said about stoner that he will be a champion and he knew about racing and how hopeless sazuki were after his glories but don’t ever forget that we have history in our favour and stoner is an old style rider and that is why hes fast and no electronics for him …give him a fast unit and hell crash it but hell get all that its got …this is our aussie spirit…we don’t ..... foot around but we are modest and we call a spade a spade…the 2011 season is very interesting especially when we have a mungrel dog like stoner whos so hungry to prove his worth with the best on the honda…stoner has some unfinished business with the Honda from 2006 and he wants to prove to the top dogs what hes all about…but I still think that stoners determination grit will win at the end in 2011!!!

Never underestimate the power of The Puig. Before this season is over he will give CS a royal ........ Hopefully the smoking man can save him before its to late. But I doubt it. Puig is way to powerful!

I'm an Aussie too and a Stoner fan, but that sort of Nationalistic rant is just embarassing.

It is you my friend who doesn't get it. People are going to support who they want to support. It's called choice.

When someone has to proclaim he is proud of something over and over, it reeks insecurity.. If you are confident on Stoner, why don't you stop shouting and wait till he wins more in MotoGP. I am sure any reasonable man will appreciate his achievements irrespective of the nationality.

Seeing Nakamoto more around Suppo pretty much states Stoner is HRC #1. Puig will be gone when Dani contracts expires. I hope the trio of Dani, Puig & Repsol goes to Suzuki. It would be the best thing that could happen for Suzuki & Dorna.

I'm not so sure Puig would even want to hinder Stoner too much. Remember that big ol' Alberto did help out Stoner and his family earlier in his career. So I think there is likely to be less dislike or malice between Stoner and Puig than there was between Hayden and Puig. Morevover, this year is Dani's last chance to remain/regain no1 status at HRC. It might not be such a bad thing for Puig to align himself with the new guy in Honda-town, or at least avoid doing some irreparable damage to his relationship with him. Puig has been aroung for a long time and I don't think he plans on going home anytime soon either.

I'm warming to CS - especially after some of his 2010 races - Aragon and in particular his PI drifting. I also believe Doohan is an all time great - loved watching the Repsol 500 train and Tady occasionaly tweaking the old man. Stoner has a long way to go to fill in for Quick Mick - he maybe could - but he's got a long way to go.

Yes Barry, to you he is the GOAT. To Scotty he is the GOAT. Now go and have anal ... or circle jerks (to borrow an expression Povol likes to use) or whatever the hell it is that you do.





Let's just wait to see what happens for the next few years before claiming GOAT status. At this stage Mick Doohan is more of a GOAT than Stoner, what about Agostini? Stoner can become the GOAT but it will not be determined on the basis of his career to date although that is definitely relevant, it will be what happens now. It's no good to be quick on a .... bike and only win 1 championship. He needs to follow it up, a lot, otherwise it will always be disputed by many of the sane community who do watch Motogp.



Now I will just clarify before I get flamed for being a hater. I'm not hating, I'm not saying Stoner is not the fastest at the moment, I'm not saying he's not worthy or cannot be the GOAT, I'm saying he needs to achieve more over a longer period of time. I will also be clear and not call Rossi the GOAT. Doohan and Agostini were my comparison points.



Stoner is in the perfect position to prove he is the GOAT. Riding for Honda, the manufacturer that always spits out a decent bike and has the deepest pockets. The key variable is the quality of the rider on the back of it. It's all for Stoner to achieve if he is good enough.
