If there is any person or entity to blame as to why GP is in the ......., my vote is for Ezy, Dorna, and the Spanish. They have totally ruined the sport, tried to slant winning towards the Spaniards. There is no more greatness left. And if you think that Rossi is going to bring it back. It is far to gone at this point and is why beyond anything Rossi can do to fix it. The series needs to get back to its roots and leave the rules alone for at least 10 years.

BS - I have yet to see a NASCAR event on mainstream Asian sports channels satellite or not.

OK - you ain't seen it, it doesn't exist.

Or you could google "nascar satellite asia" - it's on Astro, STAR sports, ESPN, Eurosport - probably some other channels as well that I haven't seen in Singapore, HK, KL, Taiwan, Shanghai.

But hey - you haven't seen it, I must be hallucinating. It couldn't be that you're wrong, could it?

Damn- I watch ESPN regularly... Shows how much NASCAR shows up on MY radar!!!

I know what you mean - it's like antimatter for my remote control hand - like Aussie Ute racing and F3000
<

The sport and it's fans are derided by millions of Americans as a motorized version of the WWE

I was watching Robin Williams stand up (weapons of self destruction) and he said: " watching NASCAR for the racing is like watching .... for the acting"

WSBK is ruining motogp - by presenting a grid full of fast sorted bikes where it actually looks like there is no script AND more than 3 (or 4) people can win in a reason

Holy f ck, Andy. Great to see you back!

.... yeah!! Hello Andy!! How did the leg go?

It does look like its going to be hard to watch again after Stoner goes.

I'll probably take less interest again if the clown show starts again.

It'd be better if Marquez could learn to speak with an Ozzie accent..

In a year's time it's going to be Lorenzo against Young Lorenzo.

Nice timing. I just wasted a $1.25 on postage yesterday sending you a snail mail letter wondering where you'd disappeared to.

Welcome back!

I could barely watch it this year - BUT wouldn't miss a WSBK. I even created a hostage incident back in hospital where the police had to come and tear gas and taser me because I wouldn't let go of the remote - some stupid ..... wanted to watch "X factor brother idol gets a wife in a goldmine".

I had to kill the ....., which being a a hospital was surprisingly easy, also hiding the body - i just sat her up at the desk of one of the pain management people. took them three weeks a a few subtle morning tea deodorant jokes before anybody noticed.

The leg is finally getting chopped off. This is great. 17 operations later I am still in pain and walking like an old man with a crutch. I look old, I'm addicted to ....... painkillers.

Also, I read the "my avatar is broken" thread. I feel naked without captain goodvibes to be my pseudo identity on the interweb.

A post form Andy Roo - a voice from the wilderness and the welcome return of a genuinely valued member with something worthwhile to say. An occasion worth logging on for in barren times....Welcome back my friend.

This is the unseen side of road accidents that everyone should be aware of. I used to think that because no one was killed in a crash, people are a little hurt and then get better, life goes on. What I didn't realise is that the effects of one bad day can last for years and years.

I have a mate who compressed their rsv1000 Mille into a bike the size of a beetroot tin 5 years ago. He has only just finished having operations and can finally hold down a job, I used to work with him and they sacked him because he had 'abandoned his duties'. Luckily he was insured. He was also lucky as his mate who was riding with him was killed. Van on the wrong side of the wollombi road.

A friend of my wife's son had a car accident 10 years ago and suffered brain damage. Turned him into a severe schizophrenic and he regularly goes missing turning up in places like tamworth a good 400 Kim's away. He's been in and out of mental hospitals here in Sydney simply learning to live again. His medication makes him fat and gives him heart problems. No wonder he skips sometimes but that's when he normally goes missing. He was 18 or 19 at the time.

Take it easy Andy. I hope the operation(s) go well.

Agree. I have too many mates with missing arms, fingers, legs, eyes, than should be in a 'normal' population.

I hate the way the news and rozzers focus on road deaths - for every bike death there are dozens of serious injuries. Having been one of those, I can attest to the long-term damage and time taken to recover. Nearly 20 years, in my case.
