I remember the carnage of Cologne Capris and Toranas lining the walls of the mountain...

Frank,

242GT - a very good car.

Volvo's are way cool. Except mine which just dropped a timing belt.

Now its a ....... useless wog chariot valiant with .... stickers.

They have a motorcycle magnet placed right behind the radiator...

I got run over by Toyota Prado. Couldn't drive my Landcruiser anymore (Ashy has my cruiser), then suffering the ill effects of 27+ broken bones and other maladies I purchased the most comfortable car I sat in. A Volvo.

When I give motorcyclists the wave (index finger raised palm facing) they look at me like I am planning their deaths, whilst in actual fact I am just an injured brother jealous (but insanely happy for them as well) that they are out riding a bike on days like this.

I would rather hit the self destruct button than hit a motorcyclist but it's still a volvo...

You need to put your bike helmet on, thats why.

No they won't think you are a .... because you are wearing a helmet driving a car ...... at all ........... not if you are in a Volvo!!

PS. I once had a old Volvo ..... always had a busy weekend with that car. ie. There was always something needed doing ..... but I can see why you would buy one for comfort. It was like two couches inside that disassociated you from the reality of the road outside. And you sit on one of the couches and watch the front windscreen which is the TV ...... and change channel with the big round knob ( steering wheel ) when you see something you don't want to on the channel you are looking at.

My focus has a fridge in the boot when required. 40 tinnies

Glove box!? pah not enough in there to get gnat pissed.

I concede. But the i30 I had was a council car, with a fuel card. So it didn't matter how many side trips to the bottlo where required to keep my measly 5 can glovebox replenished.

Edit: plus my drinks are right at arms reach, unlike the boot. Unless you have one of the fold down rear seats.

You guys are just pissed off cos Hyundai won the first Bathurst!

Gotta admit all this Nissan and Merc Talk is reminiscent of the 70's or was it 80's? Talking of Vulva.....o's didn't they put in a show at Bathurst back then?

Hell I remember when the likes of Mini's and Galaxies lined up beside each other.

Wish I could've been there when this car raced. That sound... one mean cat

I saw it in the Wellington Street Race the same year. It was quite a beast!
