If those words were taken from when I think they were, I was at those debriefs when Hayden spoke, and he said "it's a shame", not "it's shameful". If those quotes came from a later one-on-one interview, then I can't verify them.
I'm prepared to think it's bad translation English (well, Kentucky) -> Italian -> English. Hayden is genuinely the nicest guy in the paddock, and is always very diplomatic. He'd phrase things very differently.
