all over the moon because we were so happy for hayden and 2006 was maybe the best season ever
<
albeit because rossi had a "a bit" of bad luck

Says it all really. Your not alone though mate. Plenty of so called race fans that follow the sport because of their hatred of Rossi rather than for the respect of the guy who beating him. I said at the start i suspected half the new stoner fans were the old hayden fans. Support any guy who's beating Rossi eh ?
<
Maybe that's why your all so emotional, hates stronger than love.

Im a Hayden fan, but it was fun watching the bops squirm from Stoners boot to their collective throats

Could have fooled me. You have hardly mentioned him since stoner started winning in 07. There you go geo, you didn't need to wait until next season. This is a plastic fan right here.

ah come on ,wtf dude

i've always been a huge rossi fan but really, who couldn't be happy for hayden in 06? i was very happy for nicky but i would have enjoyed the season just as much if rossi would have won, seeing him dominate the field for 5 straight years was entertaining but in the end a bit tiring.same thing as with f1 where i was happy to see 2 new guys climb to the top in 2005 even though i'm a huge schumacher fanboy to this day

this is actually more proof of this bopper thing, you can't be happy for a rider without hating rossi
<

Or, he'll get the extra couple of million euros he was angling for and be back in 2013.

Unlike Pov who thinks athletes are only motivated by money, I don't think any amount of money you throw at CS will make him change his mind.

I say it as i see it mate and many here are exactly the way you say in your last sentence. Just read the threads for proof. If you mean what you say in the rest of your post than i may have been wrong about you so kudos.

yep, silly season just went into overdrive....someone fire up the auxillary generators...the internets will be smoking hot with speculation!

chops i'm a fan of racing and i respect all the riders.maybe as a result of the fact that i hold many of them in such high regard i tend to support the ones that get flamed a little bit more in the forums but thats it.no double standards no nothing when it comes to debating

i get that you maybe got the wrong impression though, this place ís infested with schoolyard arguments over whos the best when in fact we all should be grateful that we are treated with what is in my mind at least the best generation of riders ever!

I recognize Rossi's accomplishments and knew he was better than Hayden, Pete cannot accept that Stoner is better than Rossi

Stoner may very well be better than Rossi but i guess now he is retiring we will never know. history will show 2 world championship will never be better that 7 and rightly so imo.

Your basing your judgement on the "your only as good as your last race" mentality.

Read my posts brain death, nowhere do I knock Stoner as a rider. Stoner is a fantastic rider, and a very successful rider who has beaten Rossi to the title twice. However, I think he is a moaning wee ...., and I think he fell to bits under pressure fae Rossi in 08.

Can you manage the big words in there?

Possibly. Also possible that fishing will get old, and unless he's some sort of Hailwood and wins driving cars, he may likely be back a la Bayliss.

possibly...v8 Supercars will be his first stop I reckon...then an occasional wild card in WSBK?

No ,im basing my judgement on the fact that Stoner has outperformed Rossi since the 2 have been head to head in the series. You dont have to have more titles to be better than someone, you just have to beat them straight up in their prime, and he did, on many occasions.
