I honestly thought it would have been Vale making the decision to retire!

Must say i'm shocked, DORNA should have stuck with the 990's.....the daft .......s! Will miss seeing him broadside at 120mph. Would like to have seen Vale sort the Ducati and take the fight to him....och well

His statement about the direction the racing was going is a big ".... You!" to DORNA. Let's hope he gets thru the remainder of the season without being called to the Stewards or post race inspection for whatever reason.

Cant say im shocked. He said all along he didnt like where things were headed and wanted no part of a rev limited production based series. I guess he meant it. Thanks Dorna, though i doubt they care. Only when the fans leave will they get the message.

Opening the door for a Spencer like string of comebacks. Is he modelling his career on Freddie or what? No sorry, Spencer the first could win on a 250, my bad.

Your as lame as Jumkie. I said i would boycott the series if and when they no longer had factory prototypes that were equal or better than their predecessor. As of now, that has yet to happen. If they go to a rev limited production base series, I will not attend, bank on it.

I think when Stoner said he didn't like the direction things were headed, he was talking about the inflation for leasing a prototype.

Then again, since he didn't say anything specific, it could have been about anything, or nothing at all except a rationalization for wanting out.

Maybe as the season progresses he'll drop the generalities and say what he means exactly. Or, he'll get the extra couple of million euros he was angling for and be back in 2013.

I wouldn't rule out Rossi back to Honda. Before he went to ducati it was talked about and whether he had burned that bridge. It was said that it's now all new people at honda from when rossi was last there so no burned bridges.
