That was a perectly good pass by Rossi,

There was quite a lot wrong with that pass, if you were watching carefully. It is a wet race and mistakes can easily happen, but Rossi has shown that he probably shouldn't be called the doctor anymore. Stoner as ever gave reasonable room, Rossi was just being hot headed trying to ride over his and his bikes abilities. Stoner is right to be livid, but did well to smile and shake Rossi's hand. His sarcastic comments about Rossi's shoulder were pretty funny too, i don't think the apology was accepted. A real shame for Casey though as he may well have been able to win, if not be second.



Anyway, Lorenzo rode a masterful race while all those around him were crashing. Good job. Dani did ok to get 2nd, the wet weather was obviously a bit easier on his shoulder, lets hope the surgery is successful.

E: I'm also gonna say that the pass was a brave, risky attempt. The kind of pass he's done all his career tbh. Obviously he was aiming to win. Made a mistake, lost the front. That happens. The sad thing is that it ruined Stoner's race.

The thing I'm annoyed about is that he didn't wait a lap or two. He was with the lead riders, showed a lot of speed to get there - more than anyone in front and then threw it all away.

Your first statement is actually ythe whole point. It is not as though he lacks experience.



I haven't seen or heard stoner's statement stoner but he has previous experience with the great one ; what do you expect him to say, "that's racing". The latter seems to only apply when rossi comes off best.

I wonder what sort of reception Rossi will get at the Island this year? I think he's lost a lot of Aussie fans - he may have been forgiven for Laguna but I don't think many people will forgive him this one.

Yes i think we can all understand his displeasure. I think Stoner did well to hold back, smile and shake Rossi's hand. If it'd been Doohan things would have been different. You can also bet that Stoner knows well that Rossi went to apologize in public just to try and get some redemption from the fans. Stoner's comments might not have been especially sporting but he and Rossi are way beyond that given all the things Rossi says when he's running his mouth.
