Wow. What a dramatic race.
Valentino was flying at a ridiculous pace, but he made a move that was completely, completely unnecessary. He would have won that race in all likelihood, but ruined a great battle. He did the correct (and pretty brave!) thing by going to the garage of Repsol Honda and making an apology.
I feel very bad for Casey. He had a right to be very disappointed with the corner marshalls (and that pass too)! His comment to Valentino was quite telling of his anger 'your ambition outweighed your talent'.
Jorge didn't have Vale and Casey's pace, but he rode an intelligent race. He rode within himself.

Rossi can .... off with his apology. Apologies mean .... when at the end of the year in the mostly hotly contested championship in recent history and Stoner comes second by 20 - 25 points.

I didnt say stoner made a mistake. The pass was there. it just went wrong. Thats racing !
Casey held back, what most of us Aussies would have done is punch him out. And called him what he is, a whining ...... that should give away racing before he takes out someone else.

I'd like to second that. The "corte de manga" gesture from Stoner was for the stewards, not Rossi. Looked like Stoner's engine stalled while the stewards were trying to get Rossi's autograph.
Of course it was. he didnt want to win he just wa\nted to take out stoner . Moron!

I wonder what sort of reception Rossi will get at the Island this year? I think he's lost a lot of Aussie fans - he may have been forgiven for Laguna but I don't think many people will forgive him this one.

Now now that's a bit of an overstatement. Rog ain't the dumbest .... on the forum. Tallest maybe?
Some pretty vicious posts are coming out. It wasn't that bad - he was pretty much past Stoner when he did lose the front such that Stoner hit the back of his back wheel before mounting him. Dani's torpedo of Hayden was worse. The thing I'm annoyed about is that he didn't wait a lap or two. He was with the lead riders, showed a lot of speed to get there - more than anyone in front and then threw it all away.
Stoner is pissed off - understandably. Don't think much of his smartarse comment though.
You know, I think I would have preferred Stoner to win instead of Lorenzo.
