I think Rossi's competitors know very well what he is like when he's tested, but as time goes on Vale is getting more desperate and the press and public are getting a better idea.

Odds on Rossi turning up with some "madman" helmet design next race? He does love attention....
20 or 25 points lost... thats winning 5 races to 5 races for lorenzo coming 2nd.... i dont see any other rider splitting stoner and horhey... so this crash is massive... it may take stoner at least half way thru the season to claw back whats lost in this race... and what for? rossi has no chance to win the wc this season... his ego is way too much for his talent... and amazingly doesnt hurt him again... another rider bites the dust instead.. how lucky can rossi get??

I'll preface my statement by saying I've never really had any issues with any of the other controversial racing incidents mentioned in this thread... So it's probably not hard to guess that I believe that line was only moderately difficult and totally doable. Vale made an error, period.
Jum buddy, you should seriously consider a career change... You could make a shitlload of cash as a corporate Media Relations exec, Publicist, or (shudder) Lobbyist. Think of all the ______________________ (insert your choice) hoppers you could coyly demolish AND get paid for doing it!!
that was one of Vales's stupidest moments, think he got over excited and carried away with the adrenaline, this would have been a much better race with him and stoner still in it.
