FP2 just finished, both Rossi and Marquez out of the top 10 , Vinales in but not looking too confident. Dani on top of a Honda top 3 . Are we in for an interesting weekend or what?

Rest of the weekend is clear and highs of around 75-80, things will get back to normal tomorrow morning.

A few top riders didn't try a time attack. Things should be back to normal (=Marc vs Maverick) by tomorrow. Lorenzo is making progress, he might be able to avoid Q1.

I'll be along to tell you all that the track was damp so I don't know what "The more things change - the more they stay the same" is supposed to mean.

Simple Vudu.

Tracks change, tyres have changed (not saying this tyre, but since the return of Michelin) yet the front continues to be an issue for ALL riders.

Oh, so you're under the impression that front tires were no issue for ALL riders when Bridgestone was the supplier?

Vinales lost the front when he pushed a bit too hard on a damp track, so you want to blame that on Michelin? How vocal where you blaming Bridgestone when ALL the riders suffered similar crashes pre-2016? You have trouble remembering the numerous front end crashes just two years ago? Or do you simply believe all pre-2016 crashes were rider error and 2016+ crashes are all the results of defective tires?

If it was a damp patch, does that make it rider error or circumstance?

Season to date here but three riders have fallen on the front and have stated that they did not know why they fell .............. all have said the data showed the same entry speeds etc ....... Vinales being one, not to mention the front end problems of 2016, so yes, nothing has changed.

I have no trouble remembering crashes from years ago so I suggest that you get off your high horse else block me, seriously MV you look for fights in this place and it is beyond tiresome. When you first came here you had some great insight, opposite to many but had some purposeful posts but now you really do remind me of Talpa's latter day posts

As for pre 2016 crashes, NOWHERE do I suggest as you seem to wish to read so take off the glasses, wipe the eyes, read it again ............

Oh, and please oh great one, show me where I suggest defective tyres?

On second thought, don't bother as I know that which I have said in the past (I have mentioned defective Michelin rears when all went boom last year) and have mentioned defective Bridgestones when they have failed, so move along

You made a post blaming Michelin for Vinales' crash during practice. I pointed out the track was damp thus I don't see how Michelin is to blame. Now you've typed up a defensive rant talking about block you, high horses, and finally recognizing me as The Great One.

Funny you then hopped on a high horse to make claims about when I made insightful posts. When you make a post on here, expect those that don't agree to challenge it. You can either defend your stance or you can't.

FYI, rider's didn't always know the specific cause of a crash on Bridgestones either. .... happens... and human error is always a factor.

Go Dani! Although its worth noting that Marquez did his run on used tyres while rest of the grid came in for a soft rear. He's usually at least as fast as (third placed) Crutchlow and he's been focusing on race pace. Still the favourite on Sunday I'd say, if the conditions remain similar.

Mate .......... they no longer race on Bridgestone so it can hardly continue to be an issue can it?

The tyre change is of course relating to the constant changes to compound/construction that takes up so much space here.

Absolutely riders often have NFI as to why they crash and sometimes (many times?) they will look for an excuse even if they know the reason (blame a tyre when they were offline, blame another rider when they broke to late, blame a cold surface when they entered to hot) and guess what, this has been happening for years at all levels, nothing new.

Happy to defend my stance btw, my point is that it is a shame (IMO) that you have chosen to go about your posts in the manner you do/have as you seemingly see everything as a negative when often things are not negative but observation .............

To late to the part now but I was going to tip Dani as I was reading elsewhere that whilst many think of Jerez as a Rossi track, they overlook DP's performances, although in saying that my concern remains the Honda around here for a full race ..........

The surprise for me was Miller but that is an anomoly at the moment as the big guys were not willing to risk ........... will be interested once normal service resumes to see any race simulation laps and see where riders pan out

Your initial post was stating since the return Michelin, the front continues to be an issue for ALL riders. I didn't agree with it and actually ignored it to continue playing GR Wildlands while taking a break from studying for a IT cert. p4p1 called me out and that's who I responded to, but you jumped in to defend your post. You were the one that got emotional and negative, I didn't attack you. Just an observation..........

Mate if it was a mis-read or misinterpreted on either side than all good (will google GR Wildlands) and yes, I read your posts as responding to mine due to your 'the more things change, the more things stay the same' question.
