at this point haga needs a miracle to come better than 3rd by end of season

I think Yamaha could've looked into keeping Camier in the family rather than returning Toseland to WSBK. Is the formula 1 veteran + 1 young gun as teammates always necessary? I think Camier and Cructhlow would've been a great team.

Gutted for Checa. He was all but Checa'd out in both races when his team let him down. I say "team" because when the same thing happens twice mechanically, there's a problem with those who's function it is to vet that stuff. It was nice to see Haga have some of his old form back but frankly, he looked like he's resigned to his fate. He's just not able to fight to win. Once again, the BMW's fade badly as the race moved along........why I wonder? Are they that hard on the rubber that they cannot maintain their pace after 15 or so laps? Gonna need to fix that problem. Terrible to see Toseland once again go down. Conversely, always amused to see Rea hit the dirt. He certainly pushes hard but his bin it or win it strategy has him binning far more than winning. An adjustment is needed. Zerox Duc's once again relegated to second class status amongst the factory rides. Aprilia deserves great credit for what they've accomplished in their short time on the grid. The bike is fast, well set up and extremely competitive at virtually every venue. I think Max will show his veteran side and prevail this season for the title. If that happens, will he defend next year or retire a champion?

No American should be allowed to provide race coverage of M-GP or SBK. Shaheen (sp) is a troll! Wrong names, wrong teams, wrong numbers, no series knowledge, the list goes on.........!http://www.speedtv.com/forums/viewthread/250133/#4610542 Since this years SBK has become BSB-2, I say lets keep the mics in British hands. Rant over

I became a fan of Checa today. The professional way he handled double disaster was impressive.. He might be throwing chairs in private, but he was the consummate pro on world TV.I picked Biaggi to double, but not that way.

Weird weekend. Championship race has swapped between Biaggi and Haslam. Crashes all over the place and a double DNF for the fastest guy on the circuit. Besides Biaggi and Haslam, no one can find any consistency.

Brilliant riding by Camier. He gets better each weekend. Good riding by Cal Crutchlow and Troy Corser as well.

I think Biaggi will get a win, maybe a double.....and Camier will get a podium this round!!!

I was right!!

I thought Troy taking that marshall's bike and driving himself back was great. I wonder why that marshall got of the bike anyway?? It looks like he handed it over to Corser, or maybe he called Corser a "....." by mistake reading his helemt and Corser threatened to rip his throat out and then took the bike.)

Thanks for not spoiling it for me. I left with 5 to go thinking Checa had in bag. When I got back I resumed my recording, and first thing I see is Checa's bike cruising. WTF. then for it to happen twice, oh Lord, somebody is gonna put foot to ... in that garage. I agree with your entire take above, except I wasn't feeling too bad for Checa, as I'm not much of a fan. But yeah, a ...... way to lose a race for sure. I was more bummed about Haslam though, since I am rooting for him to win the title. I was also bummed to see RL go down. Yeah, he was in shitteen place but I always root for a Hayden. Really, should Kawasaki be in WSBK?

I couldn't agree with you more about the commentators. Did you see when Corser got passed and Shiheen says "oh they just pas 'Chows'". Hahaha. Please, give us the Brits.

Attendance looked decent. For what ever reason though, this venue does not produce close racing. Maybe the 3/4 mile straight? I don't know but all the bikes were spread out and made for rather uneventful racing. I wasn't sure, but were those American flags in the infield, if so nice touch on Memorial Day.

2010 American flags

So what has happened to Ducati? What has happened to Haga? Is there a Tardozzi link in this? No doubt BMW looks to be going forward (despite some issues still) and Ducati most def look to be going backward. I know Haga is just one rider at Ducati, and he might have a separate issue all together (though perhaps somebody could say that the motivation skills Tardozzi brought might be a factor missing for Haga). All speculation of course, but anybody want to take a stab or offer any explanation?

Haga has a new engineer, but Haga's results indicate that they have no chemistry. Fabrizio is being Fabrizio. Private Ducati's are being private Ducati's (engine blow ups and random electrical gremlins).

Tardozzi's influence on Xerox Ducati can not be underestimated, but I doubt he was the x-factor on that team. Bayliss was the x-factor during recent years, and Haga did his best impersonation for the 2009 season. I think Tardozzi is quietly smug about the teams demise after his departure, but I think his importance is inflated. The team are fighting an uphill battle against the rules after they begged for another 200cc.

Checa - I feel really bad for Checa, not once, but twice, seriously? Horrible luck, and horrible job in the garage.

Biaggi - Solid results, granted Checa should have doubled but Biaggi was working hard all weekend and well earned the points.

Haga - 3rd and 4th at a track he has notoriously been bad at, could we be seeing a resurgence of the #41? I'm not holding my breath but I would like to see it happen.

Haslam - Great job in race 1 getting 2nd place. Not so good result in race 2, he hands the championship lead to Biaggi. This is going to seriously fuel his fire to turn it up next round.

Camier - Gotta love what he has been able to do on the Aprilia. Keep it coming.

Toesland - Not a great first time at Miller, hopefully this won't set him back.

Crutchlow - Great race 2.

Kawasaki - It was sad watching all the green bikes run at the rear of the pack, especially when you know the riders are not that bad. The new 2011 ZX had better be amazing.
