My picks

Race 1

Biaggi- Aprilia can stretch its legs here

Rea

Haslam

Crutchlow

Race 2

Biaggi

Haslam

Rea

Camier

This is the first races with the new weight rules, i dont think it will make much difference, the high altitude seems to affect the big bore twins a tad more than the 4's and if there is one thing they need most, is horsepower.Especially on this track with its loooong straight.

Thanks for that Pov,never knew the races were on Monday.Very useful mate.

Isn't this also the round the Aprilia RSV4 can run with the geared cams??? It looks like they don't need tem to be fast, so I wonder if they will go ahead and use them?

Probably would use them ,better efficiency for one and maybe a bigger edge on top MPH.We`ll see,eh?

Dude, if you dont change that ....... picture, im going to have to put you on ignore. I throw up in my mouth a little every time i see it
<
I dont know if its the face of that stupid ...., or the hairy back of the sheik, or a combo of the 2, but it is very unsettling.

This is the race where Aprilia can go with the gear driven cams. They say its not a performance part, more of a reliability thing. It will be hard to tell since they were the fastest thing on the track to begin with.

I really can`t make even the beginnings of a prediction (not that they are anygood anyway lol)with this Aprilla cam thing and Ducati`s diet plan. Its a real toughie to call..........I shall abstain.

I'm going to pick Biaggi for the double. I don't think anyone can stay with his bike at Miller. Fabrizio and Haslem to round out the podium.

Checa likes this track, unfortunately. Farbi has run well here and has never been off the podium. Considering his resurgence at last round, I'd say these two may be the guys to beat. Yet I hope Haslam wins.

Roger Lee will be in the points. DiSalvo, top 10.

Melissa Paris will wildcard in SS. Do you think she will beat the other girl?

Paola Cazzola

Like a borrowed mule!

I'm going with Haslam and Biaggi to trade wins.

Now that the AMA isn't racing the same weekend, I really wish they would run the full circuit for WSBK at Miller. The inside part of the tracks got some great twisty bits. Hopefully the weather will be good, so far saying rain on Saturday, but sunny on Sunday and Monday.

Race 1

1. Biaggi

2. Haslam

3. Toseland

4. Checa

5. Rea

Race 2

1. Haslam

2. Rea

3. Biaggi

4. Toseland

5. Crutchlow

The other female racer, Paola Cazzola, has had a 14th, 16th, dnf, and a 15th so this year, not bad results, however the WSS field is quite small this year compared to years past. I think her experience racing with the series may give her a leg up on Melissa. But Melissa is still way better looking.

I agree Parris is way hotter, but the Paola is actually finishing the big races. Paris wrecked last year at Miller, this year at Daytona.....she just is not at that level like Paola. I hope Paris rides and finishes this time!! Maybe Josh Hayes should put his wife's leathers on and ride the Miller SS round!!!

I think and hope Biaggi gets the double and I think Rea and Haslim will be on the podium as well. Checa over Fabio.....and I hope Haga beats all Ducs to keep his head high!!!

Still have a little faith/hope left in ya for Haga I see Frost? I am a fan of Haga, but something (non-Ducati) is seriously wrong with Haga this year. He managed a double win last year at South Africa and this year he is getting passed by Kawasaki's, while Fabrizio pulls off a win. It's been stated by many of the Ducati riders this year they are down a bit on horsepower compared to the I-4's but his problem has to something else, something personal, as the Ducati has at least remained competitive at the "Ducati" tracks. It's doubtful he will remain on the Xerox team for next year if he decides to continue to race. One thing's for sure, I think we all miss the hard charging racer that we know Haga should be.

He acts physically and mentally broke and seems to have accepted his bridesmaid status. Its kinda sad,but at his age,it was just a matter of time till he lost the 'edge' that seperates the good from the great. He can probably still muster up the spirit to pull off a win now and then if conditions are righ, but the full time focus seems to be gone.

Geared cams are to improve the service life of the engine.

P.S. WSBK is rev limited. I hope this explains why Aprilia would waste money developing a gear cam system when they could have been developing more power.
<
Don't mind me, I'm crazy.

more power would reduce the life of the engine.....plus maybe the chassis or spec tires this would not handle more power very well, so the use of a gear cam system might get the current power out of the bike in a more efficient manor.

All I really care about is that killer cam gear sound my RC51 makes!!!! I bet the RSV4 is symphony to enjoy with the V4 and geared cam set up!!!

I'm a Ducati guy but every time I see an RC51 on the road I just love that bike!! Nice ride!

You are new here, rule number 1, do not respond to anything that has the words rev limit Lex, and WSBK.. You will get drawn into a mindless discussion on how mathematical equations determine how fast a bike goes in a straight line on a race track

Aprilia claim it was to double the service life of the cylinder head from 900km to 1800km. I'm inclined to believe them.

I think Haslam, Rea, Fabrizio, and Checa are going to be battling towards the front. The rest of the factory riders either show poorly or have never ridden Miller on an SBK before. It will be interesting to see what Biaggi does. He was at the front of the midpack last season. Maybe he can improve.
