That was a smoke screen. Asimo was going knowhere because Puig is a Repsol man and Dani is his boy. HRC wanted rid of puig but Repsol stepped in and reminded HRC who holds the purse strings. I remember reading Puig has an office for his Repsol dutys within the Dorna HQ. That should give you an idea of how much clout the misserable git actually has. I think Stoner sold out. He took repsol money to .... off and make way for a Spanish upcoming superstar. This is why Stoner gave pathetic reasons for jacking and Dorna relaxed the rookie rule. Repsol want an all spanish team. With Marquez and Dani they should have a 1st and 2nd in the championship.

Thats exactly what i'm saying. He couldn't even give plausable reasons for leaving, then back tracked on his original statements. Shortly after the rookie rule was bent / scrapped ?. Again Dorna failed to give plausable reasons for this. You think back room dealing and corruption doesn't exist in this sport ?. You think Repsol want an aussie champ or a Spanish champ ?


 


I will give you 2 predictions that show the back room dealing . I predict next race we have at least 2 spaniards but more than likely 3 on the podium. I also predict a spanish 1st 2nd and 3rd in the championship this year and next. Dorna is Spanish. Repsol is Spanish. Out of the 4 bikes capable of winning the championship 3 are riden by spaniard and the other a no threat italian. I have no doubt pol will be lined up for that soon enough. Motogp must be pretty good for the Spanish ecconomy for King Carlos to take such an active interest. Thats given me a thought. I wonder if Repsol by qatar oil ?  Maybe even Texas oil now.

What happened in the past is irrelevant. This is the new world order in motogp. It's no secret Repsol want Spanish champions. Now with the lack of Factory bikes on the grid it's the time to strike. Money well spent really as Repsol will get their spanish champ and quite possibly a # 2 as well. The spanish never really cheared for Stoner and thats not good for a spanish Sponsor. Now they cheer for Marquez and Dani. Great business wouldn't you say.
