Don't think I've ever seen him look so relaxed and contented, there just shooting the .... with the engineers and the grandstand empty of flag waiving fans, the fanfare, the press.... Being an ex-champ seems to suit him just fine. Speaking of champs, where the .... is Andy Roo?

nice thx :) that Honda sounds brutal
Best sounding bike on the grid. Sounds like it will rip your throat out and then piss in your skull, just for laughs.

Anybody got any inside information on what his lap times were like?

Italian mag said 1'47.6, but on a very greasy track. De Puniet was doing a 1'48.6 on the Suzuki, which was slower than his last test there.

Haha great visual. Watching CS made me sigh. Such an awesome talent with the integrity of not being part of Carmelo's farce. I still think he should have stayed though, for the same reasons I watch the sport.

Was good seeing Casey on a bike again.

He is a true talent!

Now the AmA can wash my mouth out with soap!

But I would pay huge money to see CS and MM go head to head!

Lets face it I hate the latter (for my own reasons) and don't like the former that much either come to that.

But they are both so similar in style.

And on the same bike!!!

Fcuk me "pig in .... springs to mind!"

But CS put an end to it today :(

Once a!? "What's the word" ;)

How can it suit him fine if hes back on a bike?

If he was ok with retirement he wouldnt be riding race bikes would he?

I thought maybe Roo was finally getting the chop. Hes been gone all summer

So...how long before people start predicting a wildcard at PI?

What wildcard???

Are you speaking of the independant, full time, black REPSOL racer that Honda will debute at Philips Island ?

HRC can't possibly comtemplate that...Marquez is already under team orders because Dani is wrapped in cotton wool remember? Can't possibly have Stoner taking points of him as well - (or Marquez come to that).

Actually, those absurd posts following the Catalan GP speculating about HRC cautioning Marquez/introducing team orders have strangely disappeared. Funny that.

Very true Arrab although (like a number I suspect) I do believe that Honda have contemplated it, and even openly courted a Stoner wildcard.

For me however it is not so much a Honda decision as there is no way that I could see Stoner riding for any position other than first at PI and that would be a massive issue in itself. So, I believe it would be Stoner himself who would say no, besides which (and yes, this may be controversial) I do think that he actually has far more respect for his fellow riders and the sport to put in a 'once off' type of ride.

Shuhei Nakamoto was recently spotted in the vicinity of the old Jilliby dirt track. An absurd notion, but is it possible that they are trying to tempt an even greater legendary Antipodean luninary out of retirement? Apparently he's quite content tending to his menagerie of farm animals these days...but you never know whether he could find the prospect of 'riding the beast' irresistable.
