Where is Jumkie?  com on Jum, tell us how dangerous Jorge was when he hit MM, and that he was riding to close and in a dangerous manner when he almost tagged the back of Danny.

now now don't get carried away, MM has the speed of Casey and the heart

of Rossi, he's also shown great sportsmanship today shaking Jlo's hand

and not mentioning the race incident.

There was also a big WTF moment at the end of the race when J-Lo gave Mark a congratulatory hug. I think smacking each other about the head with their bikes has done wonders for their friendship. Kinda like that therapy thing where you get your aggression out by smacking each other with foam bats.

So they're clearly BFFs now and I look forward to their joint Christmas video-message and/or range of men's knitwear.

The MotoGP and F1 races today had a lot in common. Both had some excellent fighting going on, but died down into a bit of a procession, and both were ultimately won by the best machinery.

Stoner left MotoGP like a scared little ....., had the best bike last season and couldn't win.

Everyone talks about Stoner on the ducati blah blah blah heres a thought.... Maybe it was the best bike to be on that season?

I actually think Jorge won both his world championships because he was the best rider those 2 seasons. He may even still be the best rider.

As an observation, Dorna  don't seem to feel the same need to handicap the bike for the next season when a Spanish rider wins the championship though. MM would not actually be riding a factory Honda if Stoner hadn't retired, btw.

Ive wondered myself if thats true. Did pedders have a contract for 2013 already. If not it could have been a stoner marquez repsol team. If pedders had the contract and stoner didnt retire, marquez would have been on a satellite surely

Pedrosa doing the business, but kinda helped out by his new bestie dicing with Marquez for a while there.

Lorenzo bringing his old 250cc fight back and taking it to Marquez. That was pretty awesome close quarters racing for a few laps there. He gave it all he had but it wasn't enough this time. Rossi must have had a smile on his face watching that unfold, shame he isn't quick enough to get involved.

Good on Marquez for not needing to do his own bit of sarcasm about the hard passes in that race. He still runs close behind under brakes, but I think his style and lines are so different to Pedrosa and Lorenzo that they actually hold him up as he fires in at the apex. He squares it off a lot more than them, kind of an old style you would see in 500s/990s.

Ducati are wasting their time chasing new engineers, Crutchlow is that rubbish off the line it won't matter how good the bike is next year. And I think Cudlin had the broken exhaust, Hayden's bike had more like a broken engine. And by broken, I mean it turned itself inside out.

I believe Pedrosa already had a contract, and that Honda only agitated for the rookie rule to be repealed after Stoner retired; their rapprochement with Dorna and consequent successful argument in regard to the the rookie rule were  I am sure entirely coincidental to Stoner no longer riding for them.

I always thought the rookie rule was stupid, btw.

(EDIT He obviously would have been on a satellite bike to be groomed for the factory ride the next year; how close it would have been to factory spec would perhaps have depended on how the factory riders were going, but I am quite sure he would have made a considerable splash regardless. He wouldn't have had Stoner's crew though).

Jorge needs a Honda, wouldn't be great for the show as he'd win every race but I'm sure id enjoy the pain in Marcs heart.

MM on a CRT will still win from Lorenzo.

Awesome how this stuff is starting to escalate. You´ve got to hand it to Dorna and race direction, they sure know how to put on a show.

Don´t forget guys, when you´re done rubbing one out to that hot fairing bashing action and pointing out Lorenzo´s obvious hypocrisy, spare a moment to post a quick "RIP Marco".

What a ........ farce of a race. This was nothing more than

a Repsol HRC damage limitation exercise. No team orders at HRC my arse .

Marc could have easily won this race but going for it would

have dragged Lorenzo up to the front, more than likely relegating Dani to 3rd.

Marc only needs 7 points so pretty much has the championship

wrapped up. HRC will now want to do all they can to help dani get 2nd.

Marquez spent the first 2/3’s of the race "dicing" with Lorenzo

with the sole intention of breaking his momentum and letting dani get away and

get the 25 points. Every corner Marquez would pass Lorenzo into the corner

blocking him and slowing mid corner where the yam has the advantage only to

leave the door open for Lorenzo on the exit. This then lines up the very same

momentum breaking move for the next corner. With 7 laps to go and Dani in the

clear marquez leaves Lorenzo for dust and within a lap had built a sizable gap.

He could have done that early on in the race if he was going for the win. The

gap large enough to stay away from dani but small enough to prevent Lorenzo finishing

any higher than 3rd. Job done as dani is now only 11 points behind Lorenzo

with 3 races to go. Expect to see more of the same over the next 3 races.

This wasn’t a battle, it was a strategy !

........, with the amount of money Honda spend they could make Smith world champion.

But not Pedrosa. HMMMMM.

Dude, you are seriously starting to sound like a classic bopper.

Excellent ride by Pedro.  Living proof that Honda cannot make anyone champion

Smart smart ride from Marquez, and no whining. Im liking this kid more every day

Lorenzo laid down for Pedrosa, but was determined to teach the rookie a lesson and got schooled..

Roosi, doesnt matter where you qualify, you are 4th.

Bautista has quietly put together a solid season

Cal, you may be the worst starter in the history of the sport

Dani was gone from Repsol Honda until Stoner announced his retirement. At that point, his staying at Honda was guaranteed. Either way, there was a factory seat waiting for Marquez this year

I think Pedrosa signed for 2 more years in 2011. Doesn't mean he would have seen the contract out of course.

Relations between Honda and Dorna weren't exactly cordial in early 2012 either if you recall, so I don't think they could have had any expectation of the rookie rule being repealed for MM if it was for him to join Stoner, and nor imo could Honda or Dorna have had the expectation that MM would be quite this good as a rookie. He actually wasn't even the reigning moto 2 champion, after the career threatening injury resulting from his late season crash in 2011.

Nope, he re upped with Honda last year for 13-14. He was toast until Stoner made his announcement , then Honda had no choice but to keep him.

Spot on

I said as much after Laguna where MM clearly calculated the offroad pass. He's taken a page from Rossis book. Hes got the bike to pass anyone at anytime but chooses to layback and make bold moves to solidify his legend.

After the words said by lorenzo at the press conference He knew that attacking him would lead to a string response. So what did he do? Attack him repeatedly and watch the fireworks ensue. He forced Lorenzo to race him out of anger and got the results he wanted. Lorenzo bashed fairings and poor Markiepoo was the victim effectively silencing his critics.

....... brillant. This kid must have Lannister im his blood

That was a smoke screen. Asimo was going knowhere because Puig is a Repsol man and Dani is his boy. HRC wanted rid of puig but Repsol stepped in and reminded HRC who holds the purse strings. I remember reading Puig has an office for his Repsol dutys within the Dorna HQ. That should give you an idea of how much clout the misserable git actually has. I think Stoner sold out. He took repsol money to .... off and make way for a Spanish upcoming superstar. This is why Stoner gave pathetic reasons for jacking and Dorna relaxed the rookie rule. Repsol want an all spanish team. With Marquez and Dani they should have a 1st and 2nd in the championship.

I'm sure the boners will scoff at that but the clues are there if you open your eyes.

Yup. What marquez did today was very calculated and skillful. He held up the best rider on the grid using the honda's advantage and got the job done. Dani 1st Lorenzo 3rd. For some to say that was an epic Marquex / Lorenzo battle today is laughable.
