MotoGP: 2015 Round 02 - Circuit of the Americas (SPOILERS)

Hold on now, you're not getting off that easy. Why no mention of Redding totally blowing it with that .... move and ruining another riders weekend?:p

Sorry for that...i've been in Sicily this past week on holiday, so what little time i did get online i tried to be quick with my posting....

Redding's move was awful...and he should have apologized as soon as i he was back in the pits...Pol can try make some harsh moves on Scott in Argentina to make himself feel better...

Dovi 2 - Cal 0

Italian coverage of MotoGP was pretty amusing, and it helped me understand and learn a bit more Italian...

Marquez is scary talented and going to be hard to beat on the Honda. It will require something like a crash, injury, mechanical breakdown or some rule infraction or technicality - to allow Dovi or Iannone to beat him this year. Dovi's a great rider and has been a favorite of mine for some time - but he's a bit too much of a nice guy, whereas Marquez is like a shark, an animal that is essentially an eating machine. I don't wish him ill - but frankly - if this season is a repeat of last year, I won't be renewing my subscription to MotoGp.com next year. It's boring watching him run away at every race.

I have been watching Dovi in these first two races and I must say I am reviewing my old perceptions about him. Only one month ago I would have bet on Iannone as the best Ducati rider this season, but so far Dovi has outperformed him and has been capable to put up a fight with the likes of Marquez and Rossi. Maybe something is finally clicking in him?

Being (for the first time in his career) the #1 rider in a competitive factory team could have this effect on him. I certainly hope so. He's always been as talented as they come, the only perceived "shortcomings" were his nice-guy character and a very analytical, sometimes too cautious approach. Not any more?

A hardened Dovi on a newly competitive Ducati is going to be a tough customer for all of 'em famous top riders. His GP experience is second only to Rossi's and on par with Lorenzo's, after all.

What Dovizioso always lacked was fire in the belly. He's got it now. Two hard years on the Ducati were good for him. He's a different rider when you talk to him now.

He'll easily outscore his teammate.

Ducati may have commited a patetic mistake with fuel pump pickup design, preventing it from being able to pick the last drop of benzina.

Better admit the "ran out of fuel" than that.

Well, .... happens.

. But that's a little like Honda's "electrical problem" which left connecting rod parts scattered over the track. ...

On Marquez's bike at COTA ? may need an engine update from you sooner than later. Didnt one of the Honda's have an issue at Qatar as well.

Exactly so.

This in fact was a known problem (or feature) of previous Ducatis -- their engine cooling liquid used to run at over 100C as opposed to 80C of the competition. Dall'Igna says they have more air flowing through and are running cooler now, but didn't specify any figure. Judging from the fuel vaporization problem that (according to them) happened at Austin it doesn't run much cooler yet!

No it hasnt been yet. The Austin animal control has it. Named it Moto. There was a posting on Twitter about it
