semi-weird race. the fac Hondas held their nerves, big, big kudos to Dovi once again, Rossi backing out of a potentially race winning gamble (just look at Parkes!), Bradl failing badly after binning it on the sighting lap, but still not as bad as Lorenzo who admitted to shitting his pants. rest more or less as usual. btw, can anyone explain to me why they delayed the start?

Parkes lost 56 seconds in 3-4 laps. Rossi would have been marginally faster, but the time lost waiting for the slicks to come good, was a lot more than time lost for a bike swap. Bottom line is, Rossi didnt have the pace in the wet, or the dry to win. As it turns out, about the best he could have hped for on the day was 4th and he got 5th

i dont know whether to agree or disagree with that cause of all the fuckupness of the race (yep, fuckupness is actually a word, look it up), but if you check out the lap analysis, Rossi was pretty much the quickest guy on the track today. there were a few laps here and there faster than him, but he went on a lorenzo esque 1.35 run, one after the other, very fast and consistent.
EDIT: sorry marquez spanked him
he still ripped out some good laps though.

I was wondering what you were looking at. Marc put 21 seconds on him in the wet, and another 7 in the dry until he clowned around and gave up 2 seconds on the last lap

If you go the main forums page and then look at the bottom of the page you may notice the number of lurkers on at this moment and the names of those logged or that logged in yesterday.....There are quite a few lurkers and i am sure than more than a few are those ex-powerslide members that have run off the to the peado GP-conspiracy invite only forum...
Regarding being Anti-Nicky...i have been so since 2003, and proud of it...and his performance in my view has been poor since then....

Race control was waiting to see if the rain stopped a bit more, so they could then decide if it was to be a rain race or not...and they tried to help team change over to rain set up....

Nice try Migs - the 'lurkers' are undoubtedly 90% bots and spammers! That this forum software politely refers to them as "lurkers" is as amusing as its default use of "thanks" rather than 'like'. Must be Canuck forum software!
From polling the new (absolutely NOT invite only) forum, it seems that only me and BWB have any interest left for this neutered forum (30 posts on race day? REALLY?? Cumon!). We managed double that with 50 members!!

This site could come back to life. A lot of blowhards, bullies and vainglorious types ran off a lot of interesting people from this site. The new (other site) seems mellow enough thus far - but not everybody who isn't here anymore - is "over there". They just got sick of the idiots and the needless bickering. The "other site" is so far not all that happening. It's the same small hand-full of people posting. The energy is just not there. I check it out and don't find that much to post about. It's been kind of a boring season.

If that was truly the case then as soon as the "blowhards, bullies and vainglorious types" were gone this forum should have flourished. I contend that the "blowhards, bullies and vainglorious types" are what made PS the vibrant community it was. I believe the 'social experiment' that was the old PS illustrates that forum nirbana requires unsavoury types.
