This is one of the few race circuits on the planet that the Suzuki's actually work, but I shouldn't have thought we'll see them both finish in the top ten again this year.
The usual three, Vale, Jorge, Dani, in that order, then Dovi, plus a decent showing from Marco. Be great if Nicky can get in the top five - it's Toni's turn to be at the sharp end
Don't you just hate it when someone quotes themself. It's my Birthday - I'm allowed to be smug - although the top 4 were a complete no brainer - great ride from Capi.
Frustrating race today. Had to watch delayed coverage on Eurosport, because I refuse to listen to Charlie .... when Toby, Jules and Spalders are on song. Did start watching the live coverage on The Beeb, but turned off, when they introduced next years rookies Bautista, Simoncelli and Barbera. "You don't know who they are do you?" chided Matt Roberts. Yes I ....... do you knob, I remember Hectors first ride for Aspar in '02, and was there at his first win for Aspar at Doni in 2003 and recall his subsequent signing for the Clarence Seedorf run squad on those jet black Aprilia's. That's why I hate Moto GP on 'Beginners' Broadcasting Corporation', they cater for the mainstream which is why Dorna signed the deal at the expense with Eurosport, and so assume that they have to educate the masses (with their patronising coverage), where Eurosport makes no concessions for the first time viewer - you're straight in at the deep end, which IMO is the best way to learn about something.
Anyway on to the race. The second reason I'm disappointed was obviously the first corner incident. I don't attribute this to Alex, Jorge certainly lost his drive out of the corner causing De Angeles to tag his back wheel and the subsequent pile up. Nicky was on for another good result here and I fully understand his frustration, and yet again, for the third consecutive year Randy goes down on the first lap at Misano - but at least he was able to remount and complete it. I was also frustrating watching Dani act as a roadblock, when Jorge was clearly having to pick it up to avoid running into the back of him.
Congrats to Vale on 103, but I wanted a race today...and I think Lorenzo's challenge might have been greater had it been mounted earlier in the race - although I concede Jorge lacked the pace and the set up to have overcome Vale today. Time to listen to another tired rendition of Il Canto Degli Italiani
Great to see Pedrosa thumbing a lift, but would you jump on the back of a bike ridden by scud? - I'd sooner walk.
Not a memorable race - thank God for the other series and the proddy's at the 'ring!
