Having a sook at Stoner implying that he is in some way "mentally weak" agin are we Pete? ...... yet seeming to forget that if it takes being mentally weak to be leading the WC, .... then so be it
<
<

and indeed having the most wins since he has been in MGP ........ what does that say about all the other riders ........ but no I realize that the real nemesis for your you Boppers is Stoner the Usurper.
<

Whinge on Pete and Nino its just fuel for the non-boppers.

I love how easy it is to get you to make a .... of yourself, said it before, shooting fish in a barrel.

Pete

Its just the Lactose intolerance again, and this time Stoner is in a bad situation with that.

ie. Mrs Stoner is possibly beginning to "produce", and I'm sure Casey must want to sample the goods/produce..

he should know better.

But how the hell can you not be tolerant of your missus's ....!!?

You've earned your keep today, Barry.

Very important victory by Lorenzo today. He ended a two month winless streak, and clawed back 9 pts on Stoner.

Next round will be important for Lorenzo as well. Aragon was not kind to Yamaha last season, and another mediocre finish could undo all of Lorenzo's hard work. Lorenzo is 35pts adrift of Stoner. Pedrosa is 35pts behind Dovi. It will be interesting to see what happens down the stretch.

BTW, does anyone have an invite to a certain place that will remain nameless so google spammers hit this message board? PM me. Thanks in advance.

Excellent race today. Was close at the front for a while before Lorenzo checked out, he rode brilliantly and did himself some good for the championship but i don't think it'll be enough. I was excited to see Rossi running near the front at the start of the race but it was never going to last. Marco was riding like his old self and it was great and exciting to see.

It was nice to hear Stoner give best to Lorenzo in such a sporting fasion in the interview, it was a shame that the crowd showed so little respect and booed Lorenzo's superb ride but i was amused to see Lorenzo deal with it in good humour, seemingly having a laugh with Stoner about the whole thing. The crowd beneath the podium really should have raised the roof in honour of Wayne Rainey, it was fitting to see him take the trophy.

Ironic - I just PM'd you to ask the same. The withdrawal is killing me.

Can you say "HYPE". Dude... Stoner was obviously fading and Dani just did the necessary. Nothing more.

Are you serious....really......so only Stoner (the best rider in the world, and the greatest of all time) can pull off these moves and his are the only ones we are allowed the post about??? Get your head out of your ... Kesh....really....this powerslide Boner fest is ridiculous

Dani's move meant he took Stoner off line on the inside at more than 265Kph into that corner....it was very, very, brave and a fantastic move.....just cause he took Nicky out in 06...doesn't mean you can't give him credit
<

So yeah...Boners...what happen to Stoner then? After all he could win races this year on Karels bike...no problems right?....so how come he didn't wipe the field on the Factory Repsol Honda then? Tired? really? Surely he could do it in his sleep anyway? How come Dani and Jorge weren't tired? Dani's still recovering from horrendous injuries and Jorge from his Highside at Laguna.....

From Press release on Motomatters:

ANDREA DOVIZIOSO – 5th – World Championship Position: 3rd with 185 points

"It was a tough race, I had to push hard and ride aggressively and we had to cut the power a lot due to fuel consumption issues. We suffered from this during the whole race weekend, but after the warm up I received the bad news that we had to cut even more power. This hasn't been such a big issue this year and in fact it has never been the case that I am unable to match Simoncelli in acceleration. This stems from from the riding style and the set up of the electronics, especially the engine braking. I knew that with this cut in power it would have been impossible to fight for the podium, so this affected my motivation. We had a good battle with Marco and Spies, on this occasion, for the first time this season Marco beat me so congratulations to Marco. It was a good battle but our target was to gain some points on Lorenzo and we didn't manage to. We are still third in the Championship which is the most important point, we are confident and will continue working".

Dovi's bike getting turned down until Sic is faster to end the chat in the media about Sic not having beaten Dovi but getting the ride next year over him???? Also allows Pedrosa to close in as Pedrosa can't be allowed to be 3rd Repsol in the Championship. Sounds very Honda'ish to me!

Are you really diving straight for a conspiracy in the form of Honda race fixing. Thats a bit far out for me.

Yep.

Last season on a number of occasions we saw Dovi become fast all of a sudden when Dani got injured and was out for the weekend. Discussion then was that Dovi suddenly had his bike turned up to make sure a Repsol Honda was still at the front.

Honda has a big PR problem at the moment as it wants to cut Dovi lose and keep Sic yet Dovi has convincingly beaten Sic all season long. Honda needs Sic to prove himself or at least beat Dovi and therefore remove the PR problem they have. If he can't do it himself they will help him by turning down Dovi's bike. Read the press release it sounds as though it was an incremental thing over the weekend so as to make sure they got it just right.

I would suggest that is because you had already decided you would find that.

We all know this is possible and has been done many times in the past.....you lot are happy to believe KR-JR when its all in reference to calling Rossi's efforts into question. I have no problem with believing this goes on at Honda, as I have no problem believing that Bridgestone have altered their Rubber allocations all season and that the Rubber has been constructed to favor Honda's approach this year, and have not done enough, or anything to aide any other manufacture.....Honda have always spent the most in Motogp...if they fail to win an 800cc title it will mean absolute embarrassment after spending this much money, which as we know is near on 'Falling on your sword' stuff for the Japanese.

I like Dovi, but I can't blame them for wanting to retain Sic on Factory equipment. He has the 'x' factor for the crowd, and the speed.

No. I like both riders for different reasons so for me there is no reason to go looking. Reading Dovi's comments smacked of foul play. Coming from a position of MotoGP is contrived and political at many levels makes me naturally suspicious but the riders are neutral to me.

That is exactly what i was getting at

Getting tired, or having arm pump at any given time is a random event that happens to individuals.

It's not like when every girl in the college dorm get their period at the same time.

Deleted silly post by moi.

No Talps - don't put words in my mouth. I'm only saying that Lorenzo's win was made considerably easier because Stoner was physically fading half way through the race. Dani rode well - but would not have had the chance to pass Stoner at all but for the arm pump and fatigue. It was an anomalous situation. Think about it. How often have we seen Stoner go so well for half a race and then just slow down?

Good point, bad example. Its a well known phenomenom that women housed in close proximity tend to synchronise. The ideal plan (for a bloke) is to time your visit carefully!

Deleted shocked reply.

BTW - surprised nobody mentioned that this was the first time since the incident 18 yrs ago - that Mr. Rainey has returned to Misano.

whatever, Sic edged him out by less than a tenth, that was pure race craft, besides Sic was the first to say his bike was going to be leaned out in order to finish the race. They both had to deal with it so lets not act like Dovi was at some major disadvantage. No team orders and Honda isn't going to risk not getting their championship to make pedro look good. Casey is also not going to risk his year to battle with Pedro. I don't even understand why some of you Casey boppers are coming on here and defending his ride today as if it's bad that he didn't win, it was a great ride and he has plenty of room in the points race to play it safe today. He has tracks that are more suited to him and the Honda comming up, all he has to do is continue to ride as skillfully and intelligently as he has this season. Casey is putting together a solid run to the championship this year.

I hate Misano.

I think I do too, but for possibly different reasons. It strikes me as a mickey mouse sort of track, with the fastest section having ever tightening corners that make overtaking difficult. When I used to race there (apologies to HG) it was alot easier to pass when going in the other direction.

Your generosity of spirit overwhelms me young Talpa.

Great race, actually a bit of overtaking! JLo, what can you say, awesome, Super Sic, real racer, none of this only winning from the holeshot pish, Rossi, good solid result on a tractor! Pedrosa remembered how to ride a bike today, and as ever, if Spencer cant get to the front in the first 8 laps, he can't win because his head is weak. Spies great showing, but needs to learn to use a clutch and get off the line. Dovi, got your arse handed to you by Sideshow Bob. Bautista, I liked this guy in 250 and he is doing a great job on the Zuk.

Great opportunity for Jorge now, he knows that if he starts to pressure Stoner, his head will go and he will start crashing again.

Looks like the big bikes might actually start to become nearly as interesting as moto 2 or even WSBK on todays form.

Pete

Actually, I found this race a bit boring, apart from a bit of action over 4th position. It just goes to show how your personal perspective and who you support determines your level of interest.. I,m as guilty as anyone............
