We'll see if Lorenzo is quick enough and smart enough to exploit this situation.

Perhaps his back yard, but Missano had not been raced at for 12 or so years, and with current MotoGP bikes Rossi has raced the same as almost everyone else. As much as Hayden in his ‘Second’ Home track Indianapolis, I’ve heard most commenting that’s not a real advantage as everyone knows the track the same (even Kallio as a Rookie alleging Hayden did not really race with a MotoGP one more year bike because of the Hurracane).

Pedrosa grabbing 2nd must really burn up Lorenzo. Hope ol' J-Lo don't do anything hot-headed tomorrow.

Pedrosa battle? Do you have ‘Any’ backup info on that? Any link?

Nicky only 0.4 seconds odd off lorenzo; he is definitely getting there. It will be interesting to see how stoner goes when/if he does come back. By one argument given his usual gap over nicky he would have been on pole; on the other hand if nicky has developed the thing into a more "normal" bike this may well not be the case.

nah rog i think pedro is off the race pace a fair bit so unless he can step it up a bit it'll be a 2 man race, again, between jorge & vale.

I think so too. Just as well though. What should they do with Pedrosa on the same pace, he would just be in the way.
This time Lorenzo doesn't have any race pace advantage, in fact they have been similar or Lorenzo slightly slower this weekend so I expect Rossi to take this one.
