I just wanted to start a thread where we can all congratulate Jorge Lorenzo on his 3rd Championship! Not sure why nobody started this earlier. Way to go JL and Yamaha.

I will play along, even though its far from over.

Congrats Joirge on a well deserved hard fought championship. You showed true grit when thing looked hopeless and reeled of 4 straight wins to get back in contention. Even after some uncanny bad luck with weather after you had dominated the weekend put you on your heels again, you dug deep and once again came back. The PI incident is just a show from your team mate who saw your performance, saw Pedrosa was back to being a factor and did the math. he created this situation to save face with his ........ fans. Congrats again

Me too. That means Rossi had a lot of fans on the track and had to swallow the bitter pill of seeing both Jorge and Marquez on podium with a VERY BIG SMILE laughing at them while enjoying their national anthem. It definitely made my day :giggle:

Props to Lorenzo. As ever he had to race his heart out with seemingly very little support from his team and a ton of crowd booing and tediously predictable media bias towards Rossi.

The brown nosing and blatant sychophancy from the commentators as Rossi scythed past endless back markers who practically fell over to get out of his way, was ridiculous.

All the people on the grid giving it the biggun about how amazing Rossi is and what a shame he was at the back whilst all conveniently forgetting that it was him that put himself there was a joke. The hype and commentator bias that Lorenzo has had to contend with has been amazing and it's testament to Lorenzo that he has endured and overcome the booing and endless media favouritism.

Is it really bias? Or are they just not real bright? Anyway, hyperbole is their job right? So, the slightest wiff of that and they will be all over it.

Rossi's best skill by far is self promotion, he never used the number one plate for a very good reason: branding. I give him loads of credit for that, he is brilliant at it. By positioning himself and generating support, he always got on the best equipment. Then he would lock it in with comments like: 80% rider, 20% bike... yeh, right.

But, that's life and looks like he found the limits of his genius this year...
