You guys can hate on Casey all you want, but his daughter does love him.

I mean I could tell jokes about how a crutch and a wheelchair is a little bit of over kill. Or how this routine check up, but I wont. Thats adorable. She is so cute. Looks like her mother.

HAHAHA, only you could revise what VR said while quoting what he said in the same post.

We are witnessing why it's impossible to ever achieve consensus. If an interpretation of a straight forward quote can be so grossly twisted as we witness here.

Jumkie, though i am willing to concede there were perhaps some tyres issues....
However, i am not going to going to concede that it was a conspiracy or plot orchestrated to give Rossi poor quality tyres on the sunday than on the saturday...
Why? if we did think it was a conspiracy created for Rossi to fail at Valencia then Hayden's title was fixed....

Rossi did fall out of grace with most people at Michelin when he celebrated a win in 2006, wearing Materazzi's shirt. Passion was running strong in France after that eventful final at the Football World Cup, with the famous episode between Zidane and Materazzi. This is a fact. Any suspicion that some guys at Michelin might have exacted revenge for that, on the decisive Sunday, is just a suspicion and will always remain such. That's why "you never know" if the tires were the same as Saturday's (when Rossi made pole if I remember well). Rossi will never say more than that. And now that Michelin are coming back, in what could be his last season, certainly Rossi doesn't want to revive any old ghosts.

Yeah wearing Materazzi's shirt would be enough to require some sort of balancing of the books so to speak in the wake of the 2006 World Cup Finals. With the way that game ended, one certainly could forgive the Frenchmen at Michelin to be a tad livid, and even more so when Rossi had the nerve to go up on the podium with Materazzi's shirt on.

Interesting stuff J4rno.

Now I know you've gone crazy. You are having a argument with nobody.

Hardly the first time I've debated with a nobody. You and Knocked-Up have been in the ring for ages. Tho to be fair, you at least have had the courage to show your real face while Knock-Knock is now showing up as Radha.

Hilarious. It sounds a tad ridiculous but I wouldnt put anything past a scorned football fan
What was the altercation between the 2 players that angered the french?

I love how y'all still mad about Stoner.

I would love to see Stoner back. I think if he chose to stay he would have been the GOAT. The way he left we will be forever saying what if. Im not sure how he is mentally ok with that given the ultra competitive nature of racers. I could see him ok with being retired if the same competitors were in the series. With the meteoric rise of Marquez, Stoners fantastic career has been in a way overshadowed by Marks achievements. I would imagine that has to irk him. It's certainly would me. If it doesn't, then he's a more evolved person then I

I wake up everyday and sing this to out loud. You all should try it.

Well if youre white at least, sorry jums and keshav.

Materazzi basically baited Zidane by insulting his mother big time, and Zidane responded by headbutting him. Automatic red card. The game went to a shootout, and France did not have their best player out there for it. Italy won as a result.

Lol. Grown ups fighting over yo mama jokes.

Well in the middle of competition, that's not going to go over well with a lot of those guys who have competitive streaks that would probably cause them to kill someone if it meant they won.

That's basically correct, however penalty shootouts are such a lottery that one can never know whether even the best players will score or not. The pressure is really huge in those circumstances. The way Zidane lost his nerve that night remains suprising for a professional player of his experience, who was used to what defenders can say and do to make an opponent nervous.

You're right, France may not have won that shootout even had he been out there.

But I still feel strongly that they would have done so that day had he been able to take a penalty kick.

It's been almost 10 years since that final, and I was absolutely livid that Italy won that final at the time. But my reasoning was because they knocked Germany out, and as a Germany supporter I wanted Italy to lose badly. Oh well, it is what it is. At least Germany finally did it in Rio last year. I can enjoy that till 2018. :p

Wait, how the hell is such an over the top CONSPIRACY theory getting traction here? MotoGP was fixed by a world class tire manufacturer because they were sore over a ........ soccer game who's outcome was not decided by the incident in question? Migs, J4rno, MickD, Kropo, and other 'conspiracy deniers brigade', why aren't you guys dismissing this and laughing at how absurd such a far-fetched preposterous conspiracy theory this is?

So let me get this straight, Michelin, who had been providing their good .... to VR all year, even up to Estoril, suddenly got pissed the last race of the season? For wearing a tshirt. Meanwhile you same people argue Yamaha wanted him back with open arms after he spent a better part of a year talking mad .... about them?

Kropo, seriously, can you sort this out? Migs, J4rno, and other conspiracy dismissers, this revelation pretty much disqualifies you guys from ever dismissing a conspiracy theory no matter how absurd and unlikely.

I'm not a footbal fan, I grew up with motorsports and never really got engrossed in ball games, or any other sport, with the possible exception of boxing that I also practised. Of course I watch the world cup main matches, but that's about it. Germany looked invincible in Brazil, I think they hit a virtuous cycle that will go on for some time.

How in dee hell is such an absurd conspiracy theory getting traction from the forum's own 'conspiracy theory deniers squad'? Over a t-shirt incident? BUT the more foreseeable predictable reason, documented and confirmed throughout the ages--that of executives in a room conspiring to formulate the grand strategy to fleece the masses for personal wealth and power is shot down as tin-cap delusion? Migs, J4rno, and other conspiracy deniers, you boys have gone mad.

Relax, it was not proposed as a conspiracy. That the French were pissed at Rossi is a fact; the rest is empty speculation. Also, de rigueur a revenge is not a conspiracy, it is a one-time action that gets its satisfaction and ends there.

I find it amusing that, if anything like that ever happened (I do not believe it), that also would have been a "Saturday Night Special"!
