So Pramac and Martin choose a soft front knowing that it's a blazing hot track. They probably did because they weren't starting out front. But they got too greedy. The championship rival was still behind them. So the start wasnt critical. They blew it with the tire call.

Old school that's true. New school is a little different. Supposedly, if they can't get the tire flexing enough to generate the heat, the compound will just tear away from the carcass. I don't know the technical specs of the various Michelin compounds, but Martin et al could have chosen the soft compound because they believed it would work better over race distance.

Of course, I don't know the motivations of teams and their decisions. My point is just that Martin could have had a sound technical reason for choosing the soft tire.

Simon Crafar pointed out a difference in the contacts that made some sense to me. In the sprint race AE crashed and it was a result of the crash that BB was taken out. BB just ran into the other 2 in overly ambitious moves and kept riding.
You could argue AE was also overly ambitious but he was already penalised in terms of race result by being on his arse.
Both the penalties for Brad were justified but there have been penalties for accidents similar to the Aleix/Brad one earlier this season, even when the rider at fault crashed as well.
Hate it most for Oliveira, this guy can't catch a damn break.
Did Brad actually serve the second penalty? I thought he was running behind Jack when the penalty was called yet he passed him like 5 laps later.
Digi has had amazing rides these past few races. I feel for the lad
I don't really. For more than a season and a half he was by far the worst Ducati almost every race. He was great in yesterday's race but it was simply too late.
Do a year in Moto2 and come back stronger in 2025.

According to Martin, he had gone wide earlier in the lap and the tyre was dirty and that was the reason for the fall. Maybe he should have eased earlier, he has a 3 secs lead, or slowed down until the tyre cleaned up and regained its whole grip. In any case, now we have to hope that Bag pulls a Bag in the next races and the championship is close again.
