Some of that is due to track resurfacing and the fact he was a rookie though. But it doesn't take away the insane gains made by Ducati in that time.

Still, I wonder how much of that is due to gadgets and winglets which will be gone in a few years. But good call, Losail was notoriously bumpy und dirty

So, 2 weeks until the season offically starts. Who wants to make some predictions?

1. Will Acosta live up to the hype? Will he have a big crash similar to Lorenzo and Martin did after starring in the early races? (To be clear, I hope not)
2. Who will wreck the most Ducati's? Martin or Marquez?
3. Will Zarco wreck the most Hondas?
4. Will Miller last the season at KTM?

My answers:

1. Yes, and I hope not.
2. Martin
3. Yes
4. I'm going to say yes, he will be swapped with Acosta after the summer break.

My final thought for now.

I think the title is going to be between who is the most consistent. So I'm going to go out on a limb and say Marc Marquez Vs Enea Bastianinni. Based on past form, Bagnaia and Martin bin it too much.

1. I think he will. I mean if he is the best or near the best ktm all year thats really all he needs to do his rookie season.
2. Neither it will be Franco
3. Hopefully they invested in a ton of plastic.
4. Yes

1. Yes but relatively. If you're waiting for Marc 2.0 I think you'll be disappointed, but I think he can be a multiple WC in the mold of Lorenzo
2. Morbidelli unless he doesn't push hard and accepts imminent retirement
3. Mir
4. I think he may be offered a GasGas seat at the end of season. I could see him trying to return to Ducati in the form of a satellite ride though.

I agree. But motogp would be fine without him. It would still be here. The rich might not be as rich but still rich. The real motogp fans like most of us would still be here. JLo might have stuck around longer. Stoner might have lasted a couple more years. Who knows. But to the purest of motorcycle racing fans, he means .... all. Its actually annoying that the only thing casual fans know is Valentino Rossi. Every time I see a VR helmet on a bike night I ....... cringe. Like I said, I do agree with what you said.

I have been cringing since 1997 as an aussie living in Spain. ....... everyone and their moms had valentino clothings and helments and painted bikes. FFS he did his best to make 20 years of MotoGP barely enjoyable for me but as a huge fan i never stopped watching it.....albeit in pain.

Completely agree. The only replicas you see in the US are Rossi helmets and bikes. I roll my eyes and think there goes someone who doesn't actually follow motogp.

1) He will impress. Not sure what expectations have been put on him but I'm going out on a limb and predict he'll be ROTY.
2) Frankie
3) Someone said Mir. I think I have to go with that.
4) I believe he will. I may be way off base but it seems like KTM is being methodical in their approach and following a plan and it's not a get rich quick plan. They know what they have coming behind Jack, at least as far as potential goes. It's a long season and with sprint races and even as good as he is and can become, Acosta is still a rookie in the premier class and is not immune from hitting a late season wall. Better to let him get through his first season without the pressure of being on a factory bike.
5) Marc is obviously the wild card/unknown factor but if Bastianinni can stay healthy and if testing means anything (2 big ifs), he will be the one to shake things up. I said it before, I am hoping both he and Martin..and you can throw Marc in there too...take it to the champ. And GD Digi better ride like his ... depends on it.

Not bad, I wasn't a fan of the previous one, found it too bland. We have to see how noticeable that purple is on the track, if it looks to dark on camera I expect them to be confused with the Aprilia and viceversa.

With Pramac going purple and VR46 going Yellow its going to be easier to see which team is where in the race, not that its that difficult anyway.

When are the bikes out of the track next?

Looks like we'll be down to 20 races as Kazakhstan is once again unlikely to happen (I'm shocked🙄) and apparently the official reserve track Balaton Park isn't safe enough .
