all I see is ..... hope he doesn't land on the fingers. Got a big year ahead, bad time to reinjure the fingers. I kinda hate it when photgraphers put out crash shots that look kinda gumby ...... there's no stylish way of crashing so its kinda a bummer when you get caught part way through.

But the equivalent of the old motor-wind on a 35mm has come a long way and, assuming no-one gets hurt, the results can be rather impressive and amusing...

Maybe I'm old, maybe I crashed too much LOL but I just don't see anything funny in it ....... guys get paralysed from smaller crashes than Pedrosa one there looks ...... nothing funny about that.

Latest on Pedrosa

The 22-year-old, who was runner-up in last year’s World Championship, was taken to a local clinic where x-rays revealed a small fracture in the second metacarpal.

I'm also fairly old and have crashed too (not LOL!). However, I did add the caveat "assuming no-one gets hurt"....

thoughts?

First day practice with dirt all over the track and lot's of riders with problems is not comparable with 3rd day results of last year.
However, I find it interesting that Stoner was that far back at the test last year. Just show how little we can put into these tests.

I still think the Rossi pic was funny. Importent of course to know that no one were hurt in that crash.
And I also have a few bones broken in racing so I know it can hurt.

DePunt must have been on qualis. Although, I must say I'm not that surprised he's doing well. They say the Kwak is hard to ride, DePunt is probably loving the Honda.

If Suzuki continue to tease like this I'm going to be angry. If you can manage to take the top positions during preseason, you can manage a win in the dry! Day one I know, but I bet they'll but together another hugely inconsistent set of performances that puts them in the same championship positions as last year.

Why does Melandri suck? I bet Ducati are really regretting signing him to a 2 year deal.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (phleg @ Jan 22 2008, 04:12 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Day 1 results.

3. Vermeulne (Suzuki-Rizla) 2.02.074 al 47° (57)
4. Capirossi (Suzuki-Rizla) 2.02.416 al 53° (61)

11. Hopkins (Kawasaki) 2.02.628 al 61° (62)
Granted test day 1, however, I wonder if Hopkins might start rethinking his move to Kawasaki...

I'm glad the waiting is almost over but I wouldn't be rushing to lay any bets based on these times. I hope Dani's fit for Qatar, that's a violent looking highside. Traction control generation my arse.

Been impressed with Randeep's speed in the last test, wonder if he can continue this form into the season.

As everyone knows, testing times are to be taken with a pinch of salt.........but still good to see a mixed up bunch.

Weather seems to be fine for having 2:01's being pumped out, but we don't know what schedule everyone is on.

Well done to Casey for atleast trying some laps.

Damnit, is Hayden struggling again? He puts in 57 laps...is the guy a mule or does he just love riding. Maybe a little of both. You think he cares that Pedrosa crashed? Wow, I am just a little overly excited about this season
