The off-season always seems to take forever. I try not to think about it too much ... thank god its over now though. This season has a lot of potential with new circuits, more races and a decent chance of Marc being closer a lot closer to his old self. The new rookies might throw in a few surprises as well.

Hopefully MM is back in fighting shape, he sounded a little tender last interview that I read.

Bagnaia going all the way this year?

And don't rule out Bastianini - he was finding his feet by the end of the season.
And Jorge Martin - he missed a lot of the year due to injury but was showing form before then
And Raul Fernandez? Bit of an outsider but promising
And Pecco?! Come on the Pecco!
Not to mention Marquez! Pleeeeease let him stay injury free!!!!

Cannot WAIT!!!

Well I'm going to throw out my predictions for Sunday.

I think it's going to be a Ducati front row at Losail...MM to start from 2nd row. I expect the race to be a mad scramble from start to finish.

Really curious about the Aprilia and whether or not it can be up front.

Not sure about the Yamaha's since it doesn't appear they've made any real progress, but FQ will definitely pull everything out of the bike that he can. Just not sure it will be enough to challenge for victory.

Let's not forget about Frankie. Hopefully he's back to form and a legit contender. Yamaha has shown they can win at Losail but the Ducs will be tough to beat. Jack needs a podium right out of the gate.

I agree about Jack.

Personally I think he will be out of the factory team for next season barring some serious run in the early part of the season. Ducati has too many potential riders for the factory team and it's going to be a game of musical chairs for the one factory seat. I just hope they don't jump the gun and make a signing early in the season.

On a different note, does anyone think the Ducati top speed record at Losail will be broken this year? I think Zarco was at 225.1MPH a year ago...albeit he blew right through the braking zone...

I believe that is correct and Brad Binder hit 362 km/h as well but that was in practice, if I remember correctly.

Early prediction.

Firstly both aprilias in top 8. Ahead of Ktm.

Podium between mm pecco and Pol.

Losail generally is a nice battle for opening laps, I expect this year to be manic for first half of race.

Ducatis and Honda's around the front, quartararo lead Yamaha probably 5th.

Pecco,
Marc
Pol
Martin
Quartararo
Miller.

Remy to beat Fernandez
Binder best Ktm.

.

I’m pumped for this race! The opener is always a question mark of course, that what makes the wait interesting. Reading the tea leaves in bits and pieces of interviews, this year is difficult to make predictions. For one thing, everybody has gotten better at sandbagging and juggling the media.

On paper it appears Honda have made the most progress. Ducati has a lot of bikes on the grid.

Pol for the win, FQ and MM on the podium somewhere.

Wow, Pol getting a lot of love here and I'm not sure why. I mean yea, he's looked good in testing but testing does not equal qualifying / racing and this is Pol we're talking about.

For me it’s just a guessing game.

However, I don’t know that Pol has ever had a competitive bike. It appears he does now.

If MM is anywhere near fit he will beat Pol. He is just a better racer. I don’t think he is interested in dominating testing any more.
