That was a bad, foolish move by Alonso. It will cost him in the long run.

Hamilton second, Alonso on pole, Raikkonen fifth and Massa 14th. What happened to Ferrari?!

Massa had some problems that meant the car stopped on the way out of the pitlane and then had really poor handling when it got back out. I'm not sure what happened to Raikkonen as I was more concerned with Alonso's ridiculous antics.

Alonso said he went out when his team told him to, the FIA is investigating the incident, cheking the radio communications. I'll wait and see what they find out before saying something I might regret later.

Massa had a "communication problem" he pitted when he shouldn't or there was some mix up, but he hadn't got enough fuel so he had to pit again but now the tyres where a bit cold and used up.

Kimi was either very heavy or just plain slow.

that's all I can say

Fernando Alonso.... Grade-A Prick!

Can't he win on track without having to resorting to blocking a TEAMMATE on a quali run?

I've lost my respect for this guy all at once.

Don't jump to conclusions just because you don't like the guy. I doubt it was sabotage because it was just so obvious and unsporting. I'm keen to see what is officially found of the incident. Mclaren look the best anyway, i hope BMW can get a podium!

Truth comes out, FA was not only completely inoccent but also a victim LH antics to deprive him a lap. So turns out the grade-A prick is Lewis Hamilton.

Who blocked FA during the initial Q3 on purpuse, ignoring repeated radio requests by the team, ending up in FA missing one of his quali attempts but despite LH's antics he managed to achieve pole position.

Mclaren statement

Makes a lot of sense cause FA was really pissed when quali ended and that is not what you would expect from someone who supposedly had just cheated and got away with a pole position.

FA completely innocent? I think not. Lewis certainly didn't act like the guilty party during the Press conference, and what was that all about Ron grabbing FA's trainer by the collar, if Lewis was at fault surely he would be grabbing his Dad's collar. I suspect a cover up to protect FA for deliberately impeding a fellow competitor.

That's explained in the autosport.com article as needing him to calm Alonso down as Dennis himself would calm Hamilton down.

Turn 1 is going to be great tomorrow

Sorry, but what a CHEAT!

I hope the investigation deems this as blocking and acts accordingly. Totally unnacceptable and unsporting, it crosses so many boundaries.

I'm working on a Lewis Hamilton painting at the moment, FA is behind him. I shall be changing some of the decals on FA I promise you!

Oh, and Teo, I know you are patriotic, but there is no arguement here.

Yeah, you're right there is no argument here. LH played dirty and I hope McLaren have given him a fair punishment for his actions.

Having read up on the reports from qualifying i have come to the opinion that neither driver was bieng unsporting or cheating. The entire qualifying seemed to be a bit hectic for the team and naturally both drivers are looking out for themselfes as they drive. Clearly fans of either side will blame the other, the media will make a big deal of this and its not gonna help the tension within the team, but its not really a big deal.

Neither driver behaved idealy today and obviously they aren't trying to hand each other advantages! There is an argument both ways for the entire situation but ultimately i think things just didn't go how they (Mclaren) wanted it.

Ouch. Alonso moved down five places! In addition, McLaren won't score any constructors points tomorrow, although that seems like a fairly strange punishment, as the McLaren driver was hindering the other McLaren driver. o.0

I think the stewards full decision (assuming it is genuine) explains why McLaren should be punished:

http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/61373

"The actions of the team in the final minutes of Qualifying are considered prejudicial to the interests of the competition and to the interests of motor sport generally."

Hamilton was the cause of the whole situation as he disobeyed orders from the team, but Alonso should no better, his antics showed he can't beat Hamilton on the track.

Finally, we are seeing how much of an ..... FA really is.

I don't know what to think. I can't believe anyone would do something so obvious. I mean, I don't think FA is stupid. That Ron's explanation that Teo left here is too long and too UNunderstandable for me (or I'm not trying enough). Ron was clearly angry. And after, when he tries to talk to FA he completely ignores him. Who knows what's going on?!?!

F1 is getting more and more weird!

However, Kimi's not on dirty side of track anymore

Go Kimi!!!

And where is FF?

As far as I'm concerned, FA got off lightly. To play such an obvious foul in front of the worlds media,....to fill the morning papers with this incident, is surely bringing the sport into disrepute.

I don't need press releases and team statements to explain to me what happened, it was quite obvious by watching with my own eyes. I saw the signal board go up, I saw FA sit there, I saw the confusion on the mechanics faces, I saw Ron Dennis throw his headphones away, and I saw him rip them off of FA's advisor's headphones and frog march him off for some serious words in private.

FA is a disgrace who thinks he can do as he pleases. This of course follows on from his finger waving antics to the camera regarding the 'bump' he had with FM in Germany, who the hell does this bloke think he is?

I'm sorry to disagree Burky, but from the press release it seems blatantly obvious that Hamilton repeatedly ignored his team. In qualifying as there's only 15 minutes, each driver must do exactly what he's told. Hamilton didn't do that and as a result messed up McLarens entire qualifying strategy.
