(btw never saw a car being put back in a race with a crane!!!)

I found on another forum: if driver stays in car and with running engine he can be put back on track. I disagree with that rule to be honest!!! But I must admit, if he hasn't been put back on track, we would have miss his great driving!!!

One more question: what exactly happened to Kimi???

I still don't know what exactly happened. All I know is, he had some kind of problem with the hydraulic system. It's really a shame, things would have been more interesting if he hadn't retired. Oh well..thats racing!

Marshall's can push a car back, if it's in a dangerous position. Using a craned to pick it up, get to the track was dangerous (as Liuzzi hitting the crane proved). And the fact they considered LH's position unsafe and not Liuzzi's, Button's or Sutil's ... when they were all together and very far away from the track seem really fishy.

Kimi suffered a hydraulics failure and didn't pit in the first lap because he made a mistake and went wide, luckily for him he ended up on the trac intestead of on the gravel or a wall, as FF said.

Button's car was damaged and i think the others just wanted to get out of the car a.s.a.p with the possibility of more cars to follow them off the track there.

Taken from the FIA Sporting regulations Appendix H, Chapter 3.

If a car stops on the course, or leaves the track, the first duty
of the course marshals in that sector is to take it to a place of
safety.
No driver has the right to refuse to allow his car to be taken off
the track, he must do everything he can to help and obey the
marshals’ instructions. Once the car is in a place of safety the
driver may, if the specific regulations of the event permit, work
on it in order to re-start. In such cases other means, such as
breakdown vehicles, cranes, etc. should not be brought into
action until the driver has made it clear that he will not continue.

It is desirable that the driver stays near his vehicle until the end
of the race or at least informs the post chief how his car may be
lifted, or towed back to the pits.

Well it's quite clear now Lewis shouldn't haven't been allowed to re-join. But I guess since he didn't score any points it's not such a big deal.

No penalty has been forced on McLaren (for now) after today's hearing in the Stepneygate case at the FIA headquarters in Paris.

I'm thrilled, Alonso is on track and Kimi doesn't get the life line he was kind of needing.

good!

at first i didnt care who wins the title out of Alonso and Hamilton really as i support mclaren as much as either driver. although the obsession some people have with Hamilton in particular ITV F1 commentator James Allen makes me want Alonso to win.

Well I'm happy, cause that would have been horrible for both Lewis and Fernando. I do hope the Ferrari drivers can make things more interesting by winning some of the next few races!!

Good news!!!

I want Kimi to win on track, not with help of McLaren's disqualification.
(yes, yes... I know! ...but, hope dies last!)

Just thought i'd slip in here that i recently booked my Ticket for the Belgium grand prix!!

That's soooooo true, guess both of us hope he can somehow pull it off. Raikkonen all the way!!! If he won't win, that's ok too, I just hope he can show some nice stuff this season, maybe a few more wins??
