Mclaren and tyres going pop...sounds familiar?!
Raikkonens tyre didn't fail, he flatspotted his right front and the vibration tore the suspension to pieces. We can't even be sure Hamilton's crash was any kind of tyre failure, Martin Whitmarsh said it was some kind of failure on the wheelgun.
Anyway, its never nice to see a crash like that, but I have to confess I was nowhere near as worried about Hamiltons crash as I was about Kubica's, you could see him moving freely after the accident. It was strange he didn't get out of the cockpit straight away, so it seemed he had a broken or fractured leg (which even a broken leg, with an impact like that, imo should be considered a lucky escape). Good to hear hes not injured. He wasn't knocked out in the impact so the only real reason he'd not be allowed to race tommorow was if he suffered a concussion, and it doesn't seem like he did.
