I'm sorry to disagree Burky, but from the press release it seems blatantly obvious that Hamilton repeatedly ignored his team. In qualifying as there's only 15 minutes, each driver must do exactly what he's told. Hamilton didn't do that and as a result messed up McLarens entire qualifying strategy.

There's a huge difference between the two incidents.
LH defied team orders in a manner which need not come to the medias' attention.
FA purposely denied LH the opportunity to challenge him, in full glare of the worlds' media.

The first is inside mindgames, the second brings the sport into disrepute. FA should learn to accept that others will challenge him mentally and on the circuit, instead of resorting to public finger wagging tactics.

It appears the FIA agreed with me.

As far as I'm concerned, FA got off lightly. To play such an obvious foul in front of the worlds media,....to fill the morning papers with this incident, is surely bringing the sport into disrepute.

I don't need press releases and team statements to explain to me what happened, it was quite obvious by watching with my own eyes. I saw the signal board go up, I saw FA sit there, I saw the confusion on the mechanics faces, I saw Ron Dennis throw his headphones away, and I saw him rip them off of FA's advisor's headphones and frog march him off for some serious words in private.

FA is a disgrace who thinks he can do as he pleases. This of course follows on from his finger waving antics to the camera regarding the 'bump' he had with FM in Germany, who the hell does this bloke think he is?

I was disappointed to read this post by you Burky, it is not how i expected you to react. I am not at all bothered by people reaching the conclusion that Fernando did act in an unsporting manor (even though i disagree), but you make an example of the fact that you have ignored evidence supplied to you and jumped to a conclusion to supports your prejudice. I thought you were more reasonable than that

C'mon Teo, you're entitled to block whoever you want, but there's no need to "show off" about it. It doesn't promote a positive feeling.

What evidence supplied to me?
What prejudice?

....and what's with the last comment?

Hmmm seems quotes are not affected by the ignore list. It's a pitty.

You need to grow up little girl. Your impact on this site is far deeper and harmfull than you realise.

Schumacher in Monaco anyone? stalling on the last lap of qualifying preventing FA from scoring pole. Punishment to start from the back. Very strange to move down 5 places and even more so for the team not to score constructors points. Seems the FIA want the teams ie, Ferrari to be much closer.

Anyway, race was fairly boring (no overtaking due to the nature of the track) Kimi was the best and fastest out there today and deserved the win. BMW scored well and RS scored a solid 6th spot from 5th on the grid, where his teamate JT seemed to be making a lot of mistakes.

This has confused me too, if he was really gulity they would have given FA the more appropriate punishment they gave MS. Its almost as if the FIA themselfes weren't sure, or event that it was a token punishment for customer satisfaction rather than fairness.

You said before (as i quoted) that you didn't need press releases or team statements to evaluate what happens. If you had read and taklen in everything on offer you could reach a reasonable conclusion of what you thought happened. What you wrote appeared very ignorant, something which i would never have suggested you were.

Hamilton's behaving like a right little girl at the moment, running to the press all the time. "waaaah, the nasty man isn't talking to me!!!".

I'm not sure how much of this i would pin on him for being honest and open about things, but i am seriously fed up of the British press. They have their head so far up Hamiltons arse its rediculous, the only thing more annoying than that is the millions of people suckered into it.

Did anybody else notice the ITV F1 presenters praising Hamilton for ignoring his orders in qualifying and causing the trouble that resulted in a penalty for Mclaren? I mean i don't think what he (or alonso) did in that session was so bad, but i don't think its fair to condem one driver and praise the other for what went on.

Typical FIA. It's not the first time they've implemented penalties and what not to orchestrate the world championship. Neither Alonso or McLaren should have been punished, these things should be sorted out within the team, it's got nothing to do with the FIA imo.

Having fun watching the McLaren telenovela? So much drama...
<

Starring:

Fernando Alonso - the villain who's also the victim, but villain nonetheless

Lewis Hamilton - the supposedly victim but later admitted that he's also a villain

Ron Dennis - the director and producer of the show; sometimes an actor too, depending on the episode; could be the real villain after all

watch out for the upcoming episodes! New actors, new twists... we might get to see Daddy Hammie in one of the roles

after the spy saga (which isn't over yet btw), this one...wonder what they have to offer to top this?

Well to make things interesting, Alonso's manager has been seen talking to Flavio, so he could even be on his way back to Renault

Stranger things have happened..

They should both look at Repsol Honda at how to handle this situation. The incident between Nicky and Dani was far worse than that between Alonso and Hamilton, and they acted much more professionally.
