But to your not thinking its a front end problem I disagree. The two sectors he is bad in are the faster sectors with lots of fast corners, and thats where he seems to have no front end feel. The last corner & the kink on the back straight must be a ..... on that pos. I would imagine the only two people who could take those corners correctly on the duc are CS and BarryMachine.

I always thought Rossi was having problem on corner entry - lack of feedback during trail braking. Maybe it lacks feel from entry all the way to exit. I think he's also losing time in the kinks due to longer wheelbase; which supposed to give more stability in high speed corners

Well if legendary Burgess & his crew can't figure this .... out after a year... they must consult BarryMachine, yes?

30 post in. and you got it.

I was clearing things up for Cankles & MickD...

I think he's having problem w/corner exit & flipping the bike. Probably can't put the power down & flip the bike quick enough. I think T1 is a "front end zone", where heavy braking is done - so I don't think it's a front end problem.

Thanks livewout... I was pointing out that Rossi's final section times are about all he can do. My understanding of the front end issue(s) is it in now less of a one of "feel" as you describe (therefore hard breaking while vertical is not a problem) and more one of "pushing" or "understeer" making his issues in sectors 2 & 4 obvious.

Rossi - "I was fast in several sections of the track. I’m only losing a lot in the last split, T4, so along with the technicians, I’m trying to understand why I’m having such a hard time in the last corner, where there’s very limited grip and the back of the bike slides a lot. Still, I can brake hard and enter the corners pretty quickly, and if we’re able to fix the rear, we can get closer."

I've already stated, Rossi is a lost cause on this one ........ oh wait I'l spell it out ........ the biggest problem is Rossi.

The bike is not "fabulous" but Rossi will never be able to ride any bike like Stoner, he is missing so many skills that Stoner has, that is the root of the problem. Especially since Stoner is the standard by which Rossi is measured.

How many times have Rossi or Hayden come back to the pits complaining about the front end, after a crash, since the GP.BM??

Now STFU whilst I finish my bumpers and airbags system for the Duc ....! Which is a little necesary extra I have had to design to go along with the new "stoner hook" that I am planning for the Duc's (think Spidermans web shooting thingy's, with a hook on the end for when Stoner goes by

Good to see you are finally learning Mdub! ......... but look I don't think it would be that hard to get around those corners correctly, I'm sure even you could do it.

Pretty sure I could, indicator on ...... nice and steady ........ and smoothly around the corner ....... I'd even maybe entertain the idea of doing it in second if first gear 3,000 rpm worked out!!

Yes, thanks for posting. This is the new engineering issue Rossi must fix, not the front end anymore. Hayden's settings have given him the front end feel that he wants, but with so much weight over the front, the bike doesn't drive out of the corners properly. Rossi used to fix the problem by creating a bike that transfers lots of weight as the rider transitions from brakes to throttle, but no more.

Well you better pray it isn't like the M1 that needs to be shifted before TC is activated or else you'll end up like Jlo.

Yep seems to have his speed back this weekend.

Good to see.

Spies had his speed at Qatar. He was on a pole setting lap when he had that freak crash. Theres a good chance he would have started on pole without that incident. I wonder how that might have effected his race and subsequently at Jerez. Confidence is illusive but very important. I hope he gets on podium (behind Nicky of course.)

Also, Rossi top three in at least one sector points in right direction. Im hoping things will improve and we will get a three manufacture battle for podiums.

Kropo's said Ben's issue in Qatar - other than the aches and confidence-shaking crash - was a chatter-inducing cracked subframe which went unnoticed by his crew on his race-day bike.
