.... why should he even want to move!? ...
hes earning a shitload of money, which wen he comes back to Oz, is almost doubled because of the exchange rate ..
he knows he can do well in the competition ..
AND he has a good bike & team!

too comfortable or not ... he's doing well where he is, so why bother changing

oh yeah and Mladin's not THAT bad of a guy, just a wee bit obnoxious at times ....
<

katt its easy to b a homer
<
but in most sport its best to b the best in the highest level of ur chosen sport and it gp id say so calm down chuck, i like mat and i watch him when i can but it would have been nice to c him comit to gp and do sumthink..

I've been watching Mladin for six years now and he absolutely makes it look effortless. Watching him enter and exit a corner is masterful, he brakes later than anyone else (including all the dirt trackers here in the states like the Bostroms and Haydens), has his shifts accomplished twice as fast as anyone else, tips the bike over, gets on the throttle and he's gone. I remember watching him last year at Road America turn 5 and comparing his entry and exit to EBoz and he just made Boz look silly.

If you dont wanna know the result, dont read!

So, Mladin won.. good last lap with him and Spies (i think).. Hodgson.. come on!! pull ya socks up man! Roger Hayden had a sweet highside, limped like a ..... for a bit tho so hope he okay.. ....... adverts on Speed TV is annoying as hell!! Why so much?? is normal American TV that bad? lol

I have to agree that GP is the top class, but you can't compare all riders like that. I mean, I think Troy Bayliss, Colin Edwards and Chris Vermulen are some of the best riders in the world, but they're never going to win a GP championship, because, despite now being 4 strokes, GP bikes still favour the 250/125 style.
Sure in GP Rossi would wipe the floor with Mladin (Especially if MAt stayed loyal to Suzuki.) But you put Rossi on an AMA-Spec R1 and let him duke it out with Mat on his Yoshi Suzuki on an American track, and I garuntee you the Doctor wouldn't come out on top.
See, we get the idea that 125 and 250 riders are better than superbike rider because they're more sucessful in motoGP, but if you had the likes of Pedrosa, Caparossi, Melandri and even Rossi in World SBK, I bet guys like Corser, JT, Bayliss, Edwards, Vermulen and even Mladin could show them a thing or two. It really is horses for courses.

Have you read Rossi Autobio, in which he talks about riding with colin on his SP.
If i remember right he was lapping over a second or more faster a lap than colin, on colins SP, when colin was on his best SBK form?
Another man is Alex Barros also roberto rolfo, both men on it, and getting faster all the time.
Look out Superbikers!!!!

That was the Cabin Honda VTR1000 SP model set up for Suzuka Eight Hours, not Colin's Castrol Honda VTR1000 SP set up for WSB spec.

Not to take anything away from Hayden but Mladin was on an underpowered and outdated GSX-R 750.

You just don't like him, Frosty.

Let me guess the foreigner winning our championship got old about half a decade ago?

was watching daytona 200 earlier and old jezza mcwilliams was in it hahahah poor bloke went into the pits and while his pit crew was topping the fuel up and changing the wheels they dropped his bike of the stand and knackered his brakes ooooooooooops, is this right ooost?

I didn't get a chance to watch the race but that doesn't surprise me. Even if they didn't drop the bike on its brakes poor Jezza would have never finished. To be honest I was a bit surprised with all the comotion his XBRR was making to team owners and managers. Yes, it has an advantage on the field by being a purpose built competition bike. But what everyone forgot is that it is still a Buell, they haven't won a race against the Japanese or Italian manufacturers since... ever. I don't think.

I am not a fan of Mat but he is an amazing rider. He displays such a mastery over that bike it is truly a sight to see.

It is such an amazing site to see someone completely at ease on the bike he is riding...Rossi and Mladiin are two of the best right now.
I'm not saying that Mat is at the same level as Rossi but both have mastered the machines they are on.
