Yes, disappointing by Marc, feel like he was trying to catch Pecco rather than bring 2nd home, I don't think he cares for the championship battle anymore. Jorge's penalty was a tad unfair IMO but the stewards have the data. Good races by Aleix, in a circuit that doesn't suit the Aprilia, and Miller with an increasingly rare 5th. The sprints are too short for Enea. Not the most exciting sprint, let's hope for a better spectacle tomorrow.

Not the most exciting sprint ever, but it had its moments.

Bagnaia absolutely Lorenzo’d it. He had to.

Martin’s punishment didn’t fit the crime but rules are rules. Great salvage job though.

Didn’t see M. Marquez’s unforced error coming. The way he rejoined the track was absofcukinglutely dangerous though, cutting in front of other bikes.

I am thoroughly enjoying the A. Espargaro farewell tour.

Miller just made Aki Ajo’s job a lot easier.

If it wasn’t for the first lap error, I think Bastianini could have had a shot at the win. He will be a weapon on the Batmobile KaTooM next year I think. Speaking of which, hats off to P. Espargaro for his effort today.

Morbidelli slowly starting to resemble his 2020 self.

Not much to say about the rest because we didn’t see much of them on TV.

I did say Espargaro “a big maybe”, but damn . . . Can’t believe MM crashed again. Hope like hell it’s just a case of overriding a slower bike to compensate for its deficiency. Been said before - but sure would like to have seen more of the battle at the back. Pecco’s confidence will be huge going into the Sunday race.

Just when I start accepting aero into my life, they go ahead and do this.

His first crash of the season in practice?

That could well be his Championship hopes gone
At best, he would have to pin any chances on him riding for consistent 3rd places and hope that Martin and Bags DNF a lot or take each other out a few times. .... . . . It was pretty clear he had no chance to catch Pecco today, so it seems he’s retained some of that learn the limits by crashing and hoping to not sustain serious injuries process. It’s been said, that Ducati are giving him updates, but surely not enough to gain a sufficient advantage, tho, got to say, I was encouraged by his improved qualifying. And disappointed by Bastinini’s showing today. I like him as a dark horse.

I was comments on Ogura 😃

They showed both MotoE races today and they were worth watching.
However I think we can rest assured this will never replace any of the ICE powered classes. The stands were absolutely empty for race two less than an hour after the sprint.
Or as Alex Hofmann said when they showed an on board "Turn up the sound on your TV".

I agree that they are far off, at the moment.

However, as with any technical sport, chuck enough money and talent their way, and its bound to improve.
Five years ago eBikes were nowhere. Now they are Moto3ish.

I've been busy all day today, so catching up now. Very sad to hear of Ogura's crash and injury. I was really hoping he'd take the champsionship.

I was watching the sprint thinking MM93 still has it. Until he fell off. He had started catching Bagnaia on a few laps before that, and I was thinking this had the shape of a classic ride. But, no.

I don't see any evidence that Martin is being in any way nobbled through not being given equipment. His pole lap was simply immense In the race, he beat himself by not losing a second. When watching the race I was thinking 'that doesn't look like a second lost', and I was expecting him to let MM93 through. Completely his own fault, and as above rules are rules. I don't agree with Martin that the race being potentially more exciting if he hadn't received the penalty (which would have been true) meaning that the penalty should be reviewed. Personally I feel that there need to be penalties for cutting corners or we'll see too much of it.

Acosta getting even more disappointing. I still feel he will bounce back, but there were quite a few KTM riders ahead of him today.

Good job by Aleix Espargaro and Miller doing their best to challenge the Ducati supremacy. I'll consider my prediction of an all-Ducati podium falsified, even though I forgot to differentiate between the main race and the sprint yesterday.

Off to watch me some MotoE.

Acosta, the rookie, had a crash that brought out the red flag on Friday, and a spectacular slide and sprint following another.

He was 0.015 off Q2, while in the sprint he snuck past both Viñales and Oliveira.

Maybe he needs the Bat Bike upgrades... 😉
