2018 Gran Premio Movistar de Aragón Predictions + Race Chat

Bradley Smith with a win
Crutchlow in second
Rossi in third.

Ok, seriously...

MM
AD/JL
VR

It's hard to see past a MM/JL/AD podium in any order. If last year is anything to go off though Dovi will be the last of those three.

Good to see Mav looking positive, I think he is in with a shot of beating Rossi for fourth place in the championship at the end of the year if he can keep his .... together. Whether he can do that though is a big unkown.

It’s hard to pick against Marquez here but with Ducati’s current form and them testing at Aragon recently, I’m going with a Lorenzo, Marquez duel and Dovi a few seconds back. If Marquez see’s a shot at the win , he will not back down to preserve points as most of us have predicted over the years but if the Ducati’s are clearly superior he will settle. This time last year , Honda had solved their acceleration woes and Ducati was still turning like a Ducati. While the Honda has gotten a little better than last year, The Duc has made a leap and is the most well rounded bike on the grid.

Nah Rossi will have a spanner chucked into his bike somewhere, can't have Vinales beating him 2 years on the trot.

Dovi leads, with 3 others in 2, 3, and 4th, but can't see Miller or Petruci on the podium.
MM 6th, but so what he never used a soft tyre like the others, so for me I think an MM win, then Dovi sticking my neck out a bit 3rd Vinales.

with the higher temperatures on the track, I think tire management will be a huge factor, and the last couple years Dovi has been really good at managing his tires.

It will be interesting to see how Lorenzo manages the tires this time out. I’ll bet he could see the advantage of not trying to streak away at the last race. Maybe he’ll get to right this time! I actually hope so. I really think these two years at Ducati have made him stronger.

I agree, I think he is definitely a better rider than he was a couple of years ago.

Learning how to ride something not custom tailored for him has made him better.

The usual suspects up front. Lorenzo put in a quick lap at the end there but I dont know if he will be able to beat Dovi's tyre management and pace come Sunday. I think Marc is the favourite for a win and he is about due for one.

Rossi..... WTF was going on there. He had 3 laps left in Q1 and decided to cruise around and wave at the crowd??

Not for naught he's the nine-times-not-the-world-champion.

Seriously, he's doing the same as he did at Ducati when not perfectly happy - cruising with his thumb up his .... I liked his snappy new glove graphics tho. Totally styling'. Dainese oughta sell plenty of those.

Given Rossi's displeasure with the current state of the Yamaha's, its not only him thats struggling to give 100%. The ceremonial 'donning of the new gloves' at the beginning of the FP1 session is usually accompanied by Uccio (self ordained man of the yellow cloth) crouched in genuflexion, his chosen pose of worship... It's clear from his stance that even he doesn't give a .....
