Time will tell on that one.
They hired a has been rider who hasnt been relevant in half a decade.
Kind of makes you wonder about that whole Rossi develops bikes thing....
Vinales would have been a fool if he stayed with Suzuki.
Lorenzo at the top of his game is the only one capable of contending against MM riding as he is this year even on a problematic bike imo. If Honda manage to fix their bike it is all over.
I am underwhelmed by Vinales and expect Rossi to be better than him (but not MM) next year.
And however you might try to spin it choosing a 37 year old who last won a title in 2009, however great he was at his peak, over a guy at the peak of his career who has won your 3 most recent titles including the one most recently decided is clearly not a purely racing decision; Yamaha pretty much made that choice when they decided not to recognise/celebrate that title win btw.
Lorenzo pretty much made that choice when he campaigned for a DQ on another Yamaha employee. If he didn't want to stay with Yamaha because he feels they don't appreciate him then that's his choice. If he can't manage to be competitive on the GP17, he may find Ducati will not be showing him much appreciation either.
Actually coming up on 7 years. In all seriousness , not relevant?. I mean he did finish 3rd in 2010 and since his return has finished 4th 2nd 2nd. Thats pretty relevant. I really dislike the goofy ...., but he is talented, probably the 3rd best in the world at the moment.
3rd out of a 4 bike competition. Really only 3 because Pedrosa is pathetic. He was gifted last year and failed miserably.
Im regularly dismissed when I say Ducati wont win races and Rossi wont win any championships.
I keep being right, week after week, year after year, yet Im the crazy one.
Were halfway through the season and he's been out of contention since Mugello.
I would say that the only thing relevant about Rossi in 2016 is how much money he brings to Dorna.
Guess you missed the race after Mugello.
The one when he was around 40 points behind in points?

Rossi can't develop ..... Burgess made that Yamaha and it's pretty much the same now. He made the original 4 stroke Honda too. Yes he made a below par duc but then Rossi lost faith sacked him and has been clueless since in terms of develop.
