Agree with ya the Ron, gonna be an interesting year alright, SBK I would say is back to full strength.

Nori will be close

Isn't anyone else picking Lanzi to scrap with these fellows? He showed he had superior speed once he got the factory pieces. I personally think he will be Bayliss' main competition for the crown.

I say we will see these names winning races next year:

Bayliss, Corser, Haga, Lanzi, and maybe Toseland or Kagayama.

I am thinking the Troys, Lanzi and Haga will have many multiple wins while the others are somewhere in the top 7. The others will have wins and provide entertainment but I do not see them being super consistent to win a title.

The rules favor the 4stroke rice bikes so Ducati will win races out of pure talent, and they have it with Bayliss and Lanzi. I personally hope Haga wins, I love his style and I always root for the rear-sliding underdog.

Third bike for Laconi is almost a done deal.

unless kawasaki start helpin the team out a little more, i don't see laconi, walker, or nieto to do much. the kwackers were not to competitive this year. honda, yamaha, suzuki, & ducati all won races & plenty of podiums. the kwacker did'nt make it to the box. couple of 4th places for walker was it.

I think we've seen Laconi's peak time in racing. 2nd Last year is the best hes going to get i think. As for walker, im british and i like and support him but, as Carl Foggarty once said in 2001, Chris Walker was not made for WSB.

What was Walker made for then? I'm not saying he's a bad rider or anything but he didn't prove much of anything in 500s, SBK seems the only logical place for him. In my eyes anyway. Maybe I made the remark because I don't like Foggy very much, his mouth is too big. Always has criticism for other riders, Neil isn't a world champion, Ben slides the bike too much, Colin is a complainer. Whatever Carl, keep pluggin' away on the FP1. Sooner or later it will win races... or you'll go broke tryin'.

Ooost IMO Walker was made for BSB. I mean he did finish runner up 4years in a row. Im glad hes had a bit of success in WSB but its not enough, hes never even won a race. His best chance of that was on the GSE 998 in '03 but there was a certain no100 on a very fast 999. It still wasnt impossible though... I really hope he DOES get factory kwak support for this year and be a regular front runner because he aint gettin any younger and hes settled into WSB now which is good- if he went back to BSB i think he would find that its EVEN MORE competitve now.

I wasn't trying to say that Walker doesn't belong in WSB, I was trying to say if he didn't cut it in 500s and Fogarty thinks he doesn't belong in SBKs then where does he belong? Walker would be very competitive in BSB but I think he's got fight left in WSB. He'll get a win sooner or later.

walker should become much more competitive with kawasaki factory behind him. just as checa will become more competitive aboard a honda. both very talented riders with potential to win under the right circumstances.

I don´t really know Walker, but if he is like Checa, he is not going to win a championship ever and he should be a very nice guy (NOTE: nice guys finish last)

Does anyone know what is going on with Garry McCoy? I know he is not with FPR anymore did any other team pick him up?

I dont know what Garry is doing mate.

He is one of those riders that ive never really rated, although he was a bit successfull once. Hes won a few GP's in the 500 days, and has beaten Valentino on the 500's, although that was in Vale's first year when he wasnt at his '500 peak'.

and he won a WSB race last year on the 999 but everyone fell off so that doesnt really count.

IMO and with all due respect, Garry Mcoy is part of the 'old GP boys' that were part of an era which is dead. Great rider to watch on the 500's but unfortunately for him now they dont use them.
