Ok,

Just been announced James Tosleand has been confirmed to ride for the Ten Kate Honda Team for the new season...

Replacing Mr Vermeulen who is said to be MotoGP bound.

Just read a report at www.superbikeplanet.com that the vacant seat at Ducati Austin is rumored to be filled by Ben Bostrom. His return to WSB was short lived and it appears as though there is no more interest in him on the global stage. Any word on where Ruben Xaus will end up? Also, does anyone know what Yamaha has in store for Eric Bostrom?

That's what I had thought as well but now I've heard Ben Bostrom is looking very likely to take the seat Xaus was going to ride.

You certainly did. The only reason I doubted is the fact that Ben hates the AMA. He used to write articles for Road Racer X and nearly every article would ..... about the AMA and it's lappers and the way they operate. Check it out at www.roadracerx.com I'm not sure if he still writes for them or if you'll be able to find any of the articles but give it a shot.

No he doesn't write for them anymore, I read the magazine everytime it comes out.

What else is there for him to do if noone else wants him? Maybe his vocal support along with others will make the grid sizes smaller etc etc.

You were right Winner, www.superbikeplanet.com has just posted a press release from Ducati announcing Ben Bostrom's return to Ducati aboard the Parts Unlimited Ducati Austin 999 alongside Neil Hodgson.

He is a Ducati man, but all Ducati seats are already given out, maybe he'll take a spot in NCR Ducati (WSBK). But I think that would be a big step backwards, maybe in another factory WSBK or AMA SBK team.

I don't think they would add a third factory team in a domestic series. If he returns to Ducati I would expect him to go to WSB. He may still have another chance in MotoGP, he is very sponsor friendly. He is a factory calibur SBK rider and a satellite calibur GP rider and nearly all the satellite GP rides are taken. It's going to be a tough season for Xaus, whatever he does it will probably only be for a single season until something better opens up.

If Ducati keep up the extra support they gave NCR towards the season end ,then it might not be such a bad option for Xaus to go there. He does blow hot and cold of late tho,but saying that he wasn`t scared of the Duke in MGP and did wring its neck without any fear,so it`s not too big a challenge for him,who knows?

Team DFXtreme have announced they have dropped long time machinery suppliers Ducati for Honda as well as picking up riders Frankie Chili and former WCM rider Michel Fabrizio.

Also of note, in an interview with James Toseland regarding Regis Laconi Toseland mentioned he had heard talks of Team PSG-1 Kawasaki fielding Laconi alongside Chris Walker.
